I missed all that. Dentist then Mrs ‘Death wants a picnic in Holland Park..aaaargh!
My bets were a huge bonus till that. Poor from Rahul and there’s the consequences. Huge opportunity to put England out of the game. All to play for now. Jaiswal might still get a double in this but the big mo is now lost. |

The warning signs were there. Much talk about the absence of Kohli, Sharma and Ashwin. I personally did no5 think they would be missed. There is a new generation who deserve their chance and have amazing talent.
Now Nasser is saying how good their batting lineup is! |

Yes thank you ayt.
Looking forward to this Test series. |

yes will collect on the 375 bet shortly and i added 450 as well so pretty confident of collecting on that one.
stokes getting pelters from some for putting them in . vaughan said he wd have batted. i reckon most captains wd have bowled even given the sunny day. |

I don’t rate Vaughan as a pundit at all.
I don’t blame Stokes for bowling either. I do wonder if Virat Kohli or Sharma would have opted to bat thought. Pitch was thought to be a belter designed for England’s Bazballers. The pitch was also green in Thursday. The journalists only reported after the toss that a heavy roller was used that seemed to squeeze the juice and colour out of the pitch. It would have taken a brave Captain to bat even after seeing that. I firmly believe in thinking about putting the opposition in, thinking about it again then batting. Headingley is a rare ground that you do put them into bat in a Test. Aftertiming is pretty easy to call. You cannot win a Test in the first session you can lose one. The other thing with his decision is that he was not gifted with the best bowling attack and was shorn of extreme pace. These Indian batters will flay any trundlers on a flat deck. Carse and Tongue are not trundlers by any means but the same goes when there is no spice. ( apologies to Tongue for an earlier post I confused him to someone else ). All th experts were saying what a loss Kohli and Sharma would be. I disagreed because they have not been contributing many runs. Their experience would be missed but not their runs. This kid Jaiswal left his home at 10 years old to live in a public park. The boy has steel and mare than half a brain. He could have smashed this attack all over the gaff but instead chose to bat like a Test batsman.he has worked out his many glaring weaknesses and I am looking forward as to his he will deal with leg theorey once the brains trust I. England think he might have a potential weakness to the short ballon leg stump. I don’t blame Stokes. The weather forecast has changed rapidly too against his decision. It was supposed to be hit and dry. Now there will be chance’s of thunderstorms. The ball may well swing yet. Ordinarily on a hot day this England side could score in excess of 450… but not with overheads. If India post 459 plus which I am convinced they will, probably in excess of 500 and quite possibly 600 England will have no chance if winning even with Bazball and skittling India in the third Going to stay with the draw for now and not pile in on India yet. Small red on England and no point in clearing it. |

The captaincy has clearly affected Gill’s batting!

A little worrying is the threat of thunderstorms. England go into bat under cloud and the draw is in big trouble too!

Going to the gym. Can’t decide whether to watch on Sky or listen to Radio5sx. Probably TMS!

Seems weird to me that the draw is still around 13.5 on the Exchange. Not saying there will not be a result but I think one or both sides could score in excess of 500 given the warm weather. I really fancy a punt on India too. Lack of experience in England yes but some prodigious batting talent against Woakes, Stokes and no out and out fast bowler. Will Kuldeep play a part and is he the man to exploit the Bazball Tendency when England bat? Ordinarily I might lay the side batting second but in these conditions they are favoured by the stats. It is a little bit confusing but I am sticking with a not insignificant Hail Mary on the draw. See how the first morning goes and then start piling in from there. In short no idea as usual who is going to win this one but looking for an opportunity. : |

SURELY WONT GO MUCH LOWER UNTIL ENGLAND BAT IMO

Concerned about clouds now so what to get more green on India but will wait
|

Draw a realistic hope but an England win looks almost impossible already. India 4-0 seems a likely outcome to me.

By:
Not clear about home I think the game will go on this road. England should get 500 too but there is also an outside chance of capitulation

Really annoyed I didn’t pile into England Above 10 and nearly 15. Only one winner for me and even the draw is questionable. Only rain can save England I think. |
