Stokes inability to bowl has unbalanced this team significantly. I think if he could bowl Wood would have played in thus match. You vcant have Anderson, B-road and Robinson in the same team if they bowl like this. Really helpful conditions are not being exploited. Have just had a quick look through the records and although an unbelievable cricketer and coach with entertaining attacking style he does not have much experience of beating the Aussies at test match level but i suppose not many nationalities have either anyway i think his test debut was in 2004 and he retired after the test match on 20/2/2016 and during that period i found Aussies winning 13 tests to NZ winning just the once and i think there was at couple of draws in there.

Aus we’re spooked by “ Bazball “ but since yesterdays fireworks know they have the England batsmen under manners. The batsmen will have to adapt and play themselves in tomorrow.

The Sky boys have said this pitch is two paced and a little slow. The next 3 will be quicker. I don’t think Aus will fall for this tic-tac-toe next time. They have also said the cross seam makes it difficult to judge the pace and bounce.

I think Anderson will be missing at Headingley unless it has cloudy.
