Should of been a 12 that

OMG This would be absolutely amazing if Stokes carried us to the win.
By:
Must admit I rate Broad the third best batsman out of the 4 bowlers but he used to be able to bat so perhaps he can hang around. Robinson is almost an all rounder. I still think that Stokes will hole out though.

I went to 22/30 days of the botham 80s ashes. And believed no player could ever beat that.
But stokes is very close or maybe better if we win today,I d say stokes edges it. I went to the nou camp in 99, utds treble, and believed, that will never be beat, then city do it. |

Agree sageform, stokes out lose by 50 ish
By:
He needs to play safer,he’s got 4 players to go through ,it’s not like headingly**** or bust
By:
This would be absolutely amazing. I'm on the edge of my seat here.
Come on England. |
By:
Carey could have really made a big mistake. I have not seen 2 batsmen looking so pumped for a very long time. Broad is really pissed with the Aussies and has remembered that he can bat.
By:
Tail will get 30,long way to go yet.
By:
The longer you are at the crease the easier it becomes. I hope Broad can hang around to give his Captain some confidence to play the ball on merit. At some point they also need to start taking singles particularly Broad. The scoreboard must tick over.
Still is a long way to go but I give Broad his due he is toughing it out though I would rather he slipped and weaved out if the way. |
By:
Can get 2s if they time it right, which would force the Aussies to alter field.
Longer boundaries than headingly, won’t be as easy |
By:
Stokes knee I think is killing the twos that would otherwise be there...needs to be a long two...
By:
just hit 'em in to row z instead....

We're favourites now, 1.94.
By:
Could still win now, even if stokes out.
By:
77 still a long way to go
By:
Stuart Broad playing a blinder as well as Stokes.

Stuart Broad playing a blinder as well as Stokes.
By:
Yes he is but it astounds me that a professional cricketer cannot push singles
By:
Broad seeing it clearly
Must start taking singles imho to open up the field |
By:
Sad
By:
It was fun while it lasted...
By:
They didn’t adapt to Aussie field, got bogged down, should of tapped singles,
By:
SMUDGER!!!!!!
By:
BYE BYE Broady
By:
Its always that hope that kills you ... fantastic effort from Stokes
By:
Bairstow business yes I know was right decision difference between us and them is they don't have any class do they winning is one thing holding your head up completely different.
By:
This constant short pitch bowling at tailenders is also a bit unsporting as well.
The odd one keep them on their toes, but it is 5 out of 6. The rest of this series could see both teams hardly pitching it in the batsman's half. |
By:
Going back to Bairstows wicket the only person to blame was Johnny for being a complete dope however if that incident had happened in a local cricket league then there would have been huge pressure on the opposition captain to reinstate the batter in the spirit of the game and if this had not happened i am afraid the game would have degenerated into a very ill tempered cricket match culminating in potential physical confrontations.
By:
the onus was on Stokes too much..he was always the most likely to hole out given the circumstances
phenomenal inns cos he has power as well as technique but dude you have to produce these inns more regularly not every 2/3 years Duckett needn't have played the shot he got out to given his lack of height,he was stretching too much..the pair were well set frustrating & annoying that none of the other supposed batsmen could apply themselves Oz have the better bowlers but their top batsmen haven't really produced and they're all vulnerable to pressure ifs and buts! |
By:
i said 5 out of 6, it is every delivery short and at the body.
Bodyline is back ![]() |
By:
Well done lads. Had the worst of conditions and man down. If Bairstow wasn't such a plank you could have got home. Only yourselves to blame.
By:
If only one or two more batsmen had stayed at the crease a bit longer.
Bairstow silly, Robinson came out and batted like a big oaf, no thought for the team effort. |
By:
true Test cricket is unparalled for drama, ebbs & flows when you have 2 relatively evenly matched teams..a true 5 day chess match
defeat snatched from the jaws of victory on many an occasion and sometimes the latter |
By:
Of course you would Stokes. You would not have said anything
By:
The stumping kinda makes it even after Broads none walk 10 years ago
The ball is never dead until its thrown back to the bowler ? |
By:
English cricket in a state of disarray. Sexist, racist and mysoginistic with MCC members wanting a scrap and now 2-0 down. For what it's worth you are not out of this series.
By:
The antics in the back after was disgraceful on our part
Its a game of cricket lads come on, swings and roundabouts eh Broad not walking during 2013… what goes around and all that… |
By:
As for booing the Aussies for the rest of the series, trying to intimidate them, that wont bother them thhey thrive of that, itll make them more competitive
By:
Thats not cricket...used to be a saying for unsporting like behavior..cricket isn't cricket anymore
