serious wheels from Woody unless the speed gun is off...make Robinson feel like  spinner...

Good chance extras will be a high scorer on the Aussie scorecard with Wood bowling at mid 90’s

Khawaja will be able to play wood because everything he does is slowed down

Take it back. First player to score of wood and then next bowl skittled

One more and this is an excellent morning for England.

Bowled a tad short but not too many loose balls and Wood was obscene.

I am honestly done with us not selecting Foakes.

He won't grab everything but this is becoming more than just rust from JB and we plainly cannot afford to be giving Australians lives.

Carey alone can easily be argued as the difference between 0-2 and 2-0.

Seaming the ball at 94mph. Rather have him on our side.
By:

When: 06 Jul 23 13:05
think he's 3-4mph quicker than he's often been but been good areas for the most part as well...England's remote control cloud cover coming in handy...
By:

When: 06 Jul 23 13:18
according to the stats sky showed only about 1mph quicker on average than at Lords in 2021...so maybe more to do with the carry here..

I said earlier you look up rather than just down at Headingley. Am wondering what Anderson might have done on this wicket.

Really getting annoyed about Johnny’s drops. Let’s see what happens.

England butter fingers!!!

13 missed catches in 3 tests

That is shocking

far too many chances dropped .. shocking from england & will cost them dearly in the match as it has in previous games

Indiscipline, poor focus, shoddy play - all down to mindset.
Who is responsible for that - the management or the captain?

Poor from England. Just pitch it up

Losing the advantage of the morning session l, even though the afternoon sessions have been favoured by the batting team in this series

England fielding has been like they are sun bathing in a park for 3 tests. No excuses **** performance

Marsh just said after being dropped on 12. I might as well swing the bat at everything, because these clowns can’t catch naf all

He wasn’t swinging, proper batting. Top class

a great innings which has taken the game away from us .. that late wkt before tea may have lifted them but some were looking demoralised and we are short of bowlers ... i will be surprised if we can recover and realistically this could be a 0-5 series defeat

Not sure about that Geordie.

This is a good cricket wicket. Sunny tomorrow. If they don’t go 30/3 I expect England to bat well and score fast. Marsh showed the way in cloudy conditions. The way we bowled was a little stupid. I think Anderson was badly missed today. I hope Robinson makes some runs or he is for the chop. We did need to bolster our tail and he can bat even if he is supposed to make a difference with the ball.

Nasser does talk a load of $hite sometimes. Waffling on in that ugly sychophantic way is very unappealing.

Bairstow and Root having a true 'mare at WK and 1st. Who knows why, but I'd rather pin it on the individuals than some organisation-wide indiscipline.

This has been a sensational series, even if elements are because of erratic cricket.

Australia could've been all out 150 here, but it's also looked a pretty decent deck so we'd have been potentially way ahead of the game.

We bowled very well this morning and (perhaps understandably after Lord's) overdid the shorter stuff in the afternoon.

I hope to enjoy Brook, Root and JB batting on this on day two.

Scary good today.

Just think if they could catch a ball what score would be.

Certain we be seeing England having bat for 5 overs now

Indeed, Wood a cracking 5 for 34.

I feel England should have bowled Aus out for less than 180. The dropped catches may prove costly. I really think Foakes needs to be recalled and they missed a trick not playing Anderson or rather deciding not to play him before ascertaining conditions.

Let’s see how England bat now. They need to keep their wickets intact today. Tomorrow they can win the Test Match or potentially lose it today

I ashley think this is Bazball time. If it is there hit it. Not much seam today. Aussies less likely to swing it than England. I hope Starc is off radar today.

England price down 22 clicks in the last 20 minutes.

1.89 ~ 1.67.
