While computer generated forecasts are useful, the model that produced the 2-hourly graph today is just one of a number of resources used by our meteorologists and can differ from their analysis, presented in the text forecast at the top of the page. In the event that these differ, please use the text forecasts produced by MetService meteorologists. Data generated for Kelburn Automatic Weather Station (AWS-93437).

That is the caveat. The model "always" says more rain will fall than actually falls. But agreed it is looking worse than it was an hour ago.

For what its worth, I have nibbled at the draw too. 15 is a good price for a bit of fight shown by Lankans on this pitch.

With the amount of wind in Wellington the next few days, it will make bowling difficult and should negate some of the swing that NZ normally get.

Watling getting out is not good for Draw backers. Big man now in and he will either score quick runs or get out quickly as will Southee.

Plenty of time to allow Latham to target Lara's world record test score.

If KW intends to make SL bat today, Latham has 25-30 overs remaining. If he picks up pace, he may get to McCulum's score but that wont help us draw backers as he could achieve that today. What we need is really for him to go to Lara's score but I dont see that happening with this runrate, not to mention he isnt even halfway there yet Grin.

I layed all my green(260) at 1.06 and 1.07.

I have set up lays at 1.09 and 1.12. If they get matched, ill have increased my green to 420. 1.09 is about to be matched.

Kane will declare if Latham is on 260 if NZ need to. They will not bat on for him to go to 300. That is what I think anyway. But Latham probably will get out chasing runs after he gets his 200. (if he gets there)

Even worse 10 for 2....these scenarios more than empty stadiums make me fear for test cricket.....more funds has to be distributed to these cricket basket cases even if their boards are riddled with corruption and people on the take

Yeah this so often happens after fielding for 2 days straight. Just tired, hard to concentrate even with a placid pitch.

3 down now. Caught out hooking. That is just stupid. But that is what tired does to you.

Draw came in nicely while the Kiwis were batting so all my lays from the buys up in the high teens (and one at 20) got snaffled for some green all over but didn’t really do well out of leaving £13k green on the draw.

So its about 50's to survive the day. (well than might have some session 1 tomorrow weather dependent). It will be windy in Wellington today so that will help the batting side. But after last night I am not sure SL have the stomach for a fight. 50's is probably about right.

I’ve taken half my rather small residual green off by getting £100 on draw at 50s and another at 48. I’m hoping for a bit of a draw run if they last the first few minutes, as it’s still a flat track. There’s rather limited scope for recovery if a wicket falls though, so agree that 50s was about right.

Don’t often see £1700 looking to back draw coming in as big as 48.
By:

When: 17 Dec 18 22:19
took a nibble of the 50 on offer before the start of play myself. Will lay off some after an hour if no loss of wickets.
By:

When: 17 Dec 18 22:44
I’ve laid a bit back and played around slightly. Am wondering whether to take down the rest of the lump at 34, which has been stalling a draw drop for a while. Goes against my last trade though, and realistically, with so much time left to take 7 wickets, even a very solid start probably shouldn’t have moved the draw price more than 50s to 34, I suppose. Also I’d have to go quite red to do it in a slow market, so could be stuck with the draw equity for a long while.

More fun than doing nothing though, as now.

I have not had a bet on this since day 1, got £16 green on NZ & £20 green on the other two.

Better than a red.
