I dont think a lump n leave on NZ is the way to go as I'm not in the lump n eave business.
By:
I am not lumping yet. Might wait to see how things unfold.
It was a lump last week at 1.4x. Now not so attractive. |

The pitch looks green and will be very tough to bat the first 2 days. I've layed the draw at 7.8 and will possibly lay Sri Lanka if they lose the toss. NZ have 3 brilliant bowlers in these conditions. If NZ bat first, Sri lanka could easily get them out cheaply. 1st innings scores should be low with the pitch getting better to bat on from day 3.

The basin is generally good to bat on though even if it is green. Didn't Bangladesh get 500 on here a few years ago after batting first?

NZ win toss and bowl
By:
Yeah, they did. Certainly not as green as I thought it would be

Good cloud cover for the morning session

1 boundary and Sri Lanka drop to 7??
By:
Yes Bangers made 595 1st innings and still lost......many were suspicious about the way they lost.
By:
Oh my! I have an immediate payoff!

Layed at 1.22 and 1.26 and for some reason my cashout bet at 1.28 got cancelled(or it didn't go through in the first place). Bathed in green.

I was trying to lump at 1.28 and missed by a tick.
By:
well my call was a bit early sorry to say. Southee has it on a string.
By:
Now I am red!
By:
Did eventually lump at 1.21 and will be happy to pick up my check whenever this ends.
By:
southee bowling a lot better than Boult
By:
Yep, Boult looking average today. Get 1 of these 2 and it's all over
By:
Sri Lanka were 12 before the start of play... 3 down afer 6 overs and they're still 12...
By:
Matthews beaten twice in a row by Southee. He toying with them at the moment. But how much longer can he keep bowling.

This hasn’t exactly gone to plan. Wasn’t paying attention at the start and found SL 6/1 when I tuned in. All of my bets had been matched, including the draw lay at 8 but I hadn’t set enough up and am now pretty exposed again. Pretty hard for the draw to recover from 3 down for spit, although it doesn’t look a particularly difficult wicket.
By:
Why is he sticking with Boult? Get CDG in and he'll get one
By:
Batsman are allowed to bat out of the crease, bugger off umpire.
By:
I've greened out of the pre-match draw lay - it looks easier for batting now
By:
A huge lump at 1.17 is taken ages to be eaten, its stopping any movement.
By:
Fat spinner not getting much movement except off the bat. This really doesn’t look a bad surface for a draw at all, it’s just that you really don’t want to be three down this early for your draw backing.
Oh and this is the third toss I lost on today. If only Dr Crippin frequented the cricket forums he could tell me what the chances of that were (he likely thinks one in three). |

wicket on a NB!!

Can’t be critical of the fielder but what an astonishingly bad bit of cricket from bowler and batsman. In fairness, you will sometimes whip a hit me ball to a fielder (but good players do it a lot less) but a full toss and a no ball? Shoddy.
