Bunsen you are making some good calls here. Will the pitch take increasing amounts of spin and perhaps uneven bounce?
Still thinking of backing India here but fearful of them batting third innings. They have a history of being under cooked in recent series and batsmen are playing some awful shots. Aussie batting last here is not good for anybody with a heart condition |

How will Aus bowl Indian second innings?
This game is balancing or as we say at work Balan Singh on a pivot right now imho. That spun enough from Ashwin to set the Boogyman off in Aussie heads I think Tense stuff. Should not be betting at all but started on India. Proceed with caution! |

I don't expect these run rates down under.

Just got home and missed most of the first 2 sessions. Good to hear there's been spin. The grass might hold it together... As I type, Bumrah finally gets one. I think India are huge value here and put most of my green on them before that wicket. Kohli will certainly bat better second innings and Oz will bat last.

Haven’t done an awful lot this test and just have quiet £400 or so green all over. I do think the draw has traded rather high at close both days and it has then come in, which isn’t usual in tests and has caught me out. Assume an average sort of effort from Aus from here and rough parity of scores or a small Indian lead with Aus all out a little before lunch and that leaves just over 8 sessions in the game. Seems highly plausible to me that the Indians bat well enough to see a draw price under 6s at some stage, even against the very strong Aussie bowling. Of course, could see India 40/3 at lunch tomorrow after Aus all out quickly and draw deader than last week’s fish but then it could also be India 40/0 at tea with scores about level. Anyway, my last bet was a draw lay so can only back it if it goes out, as per my stubbornness!

I like both bowling attacks very much. Ashwin especially doesn't get much joy overseas but already is having an impact here. Oz batting looks predictably volatile. Kohli etc look far better opn paper.
Certainly wouldn't be backing either side here..just yet. |

A way to go obviously but can see Aus chasing more than they can chew.

This was a very hard game to call and bet on.
For me India are the bet when odds against. I saw enough in the pitch to back India against 4 left handers in the Aussie top 6. They have been poor against spin and if Ashwin gets into their heads that could spell trouble. The pitch does not seem to have demons but modern batsmen do not seem to know how to graft for their runs. The Indian batsmen have also been poor in shot selection for some time but have a number if players who could score centuries on this pitch. Aussie gave have not. India might be lucky with pitch deterioration but the Aussie bowlers could win this match in a session. I think I may be prepared to buy Indua at odds against but have only used 20% of my match budget so far. Ordinarily I would gave spent 120% by Day 2 and be done for the match. Quite an exciting tussle for me is this game. |

Hard to predict this give the soft wickets given away on both sides, will that continue?

I have 100% currently on India at about 2\1.
The moment for me was when Harris failed to take Pujara. |

big couple of days for india this. lost all 5 tosses in england which made it hard but in the box seat here. make 250 2nd inns and they've gotta win against perhaps worst oz batting line up since world series cricket. can't be any excuses if they don't win

I think this pitch will get better to bat on over the next 2 days with some potential deterioration on the 5th day when Aus bat. If India can hold on to a 30 or 40 run lead, then they'll be very tough to beat. Agree with FS on the draw price and I do think the draw is still a runner. I'm considering laying Aus with half my green and keeping the draw onside. Shaun Marsh made around 150 to chase down 300 plus in the 4th innings here a few weeks ago.

Aussie throwing awY the match and possibly the series by wasting this new balll. A big call maybe but there was plenty happening in the air but they have bowled too short and too wide.
