Yes Injera,
Catches on the leg side quite rightly but Warne like you was talking about through the gate like you as an alternative option, to bring slip into play, to cause confusion, discombobulate the defense and of course get spin from the rough. I want to see what a fit again Ashwin does on this! He got it in tax first innings! |

To Messrs Lunt and partners
The commentators alluded to the possibility of the pitch getting easier to bat on in particular reference to a previous Shield Game. They also alluded to Adeliade being a great batting wicket and cited pre drop in pitch test Matches. From my own eyes the seamers were indeed easier to play after the shine had gone but the rough caused by Starc is a major problem for any new batsman and even one as good as Kohli or as dogged as Pujara I think a couple of early wickets may put the cat amongst the pigeons but imho Aus have more chance of winning than drawing and I think Slim just left town! I think Aus will bat even worse second dig. I expect Aswin to carve them up. It will be interesting. I got some draw at 14 hoping the pitch was getting easier but cashed out st 10's far too early You might be right about the draw price but I would not want to be on it. If India bat an hour unscathed I might like to lay it again sub 5's! Do you gave an exit strategy? And no she did not! Down my way a gentleman would go and buy their Missus a steak to wear but I do not even rIse my voice to Mrs 'Death! It is a cultural failing of mine as she really did deserve a slap this morning! Why do they want to talk utter drivel when the game is at such a delicate point! |

ABC radio commentary on 5 Live Sports Extra was a good listen this morning.
Just the 2 comms instead of the indulgent 3 on telly. Can't stand them wittering on about things we can see. Allan Border very good on the radio. Said you may as well not have a slip if Lyon exclusively bowls straight. Was Lyon bowling AT ALL into Starc's rough? I had no idea until late on that 29 overs were lost to rain. Early start final 2 days I hear. I think Oz will have a chance if it's 270ish. Agree that Ashwin is key, especially against the lefties. |

Whispering
Its not just the talking its the wandering in front of the television pretending things need to be done that annoys me. My wedding day was going so well untill she decided to turn up!!! Anyway Finch cant bat any worse and I think India will not want to set a target that is gettable in the first game. So to that end I think that if they are not dismissed they will bat on too long to dismiss the Aussies who can(I know we havent seen a lot of it lately)dig in at home with the crowd behind them. Justin Langer knows how to play the long game, so Slim might wander back with his tail between his legs. |

So far so good. Rohit won't bat too slowly and Pant won't be shy.Talk of this deck becoming easier appears to be fully and if the need is to attack Ashwin, well I can only see wickets falling and that's having survived the new ball.I'd be very disappointed not to win well from here Virat.

There's some showers around in Adelaide... has anyone looked at the radar? The game was delayed yesterday morning due to a wet outfield...
