Hmm, has worked well backing draw after wickets this game and I've got my draw red right down and results green up but I'd decided I would wait for first SA wicket before backing in their innings then just compulsively took some 4s anyway. Idiot!

Top scored both innings in the second test, didn't he? I'm not sure he's the force he once was but think you're going far too far with that comment. Generally SA batting has been terrible this series though.

Not touching it again unless I get to lay off the last couple of injudicious backs. I did have nearly £8k red on it at one stage though so I don't feel too bad about backing on wickets, with a couple of exceptions (I didnt get on for either of the wickets that were almost immediately followed by another, happily). Was lucky that England got as many as they did with that approach, in a way but would also have been totally fine with them being blown away.

My trust levels are low as far as the SA batsmen are concerned

annoyed.

jimmy bowls a good length and errs a little too full and straight with one ball, which is the right way to err, and is told "don't bowl there" by the comms when he's whipped through midwicket.

broad bowls an over of short wide sh1t at kuhn and they say nothing.

his purple patches are incredibly destructive and often decide the outcome of the match.

but when he's not in one, it's all too concerned about not going for runs: in particular wide or short.
