I would have thought the probability of a draw now, is far greater than what it would have been overnight and the price is the same (I think).

England vs the rain
|

By:
Would need at least 1 days play to be lost you'd think for it to be a draw
|
|
By:
Can't see it personally
|
|
By:
Eng could win this in 3 1/2 days
|
|
By:
me neither tom
f/c is only for rain right at f ag end of day 3 and bit early day 4, showers day 5 game is too advanced and not enough rain combining together for a draw imo |

could do worse than be given another chance..all about confidence..only thing against him is he has no Saffer connection
so he'll struggle to get back in to the England side |

his head went when he played tests (remember the fake tears jerking around)
doesn't have the patience for a longer format, much better suited to short form cricket |

Terrible day for me after trading England's innings nicely up to them all out: had spent the whole test with massive draw red and just chiselling it away very gently on wickets then got over excited about the draw looking over priced when SA 2 down and when 3 down plus bought more after wickets but not the wickets that were followed by partnerships that brought the draw back down. Have turned great position into marginally okay one.

England will have good batting conditions tomorrow at least until tea, and then 2 showery and mostly overcast days for SAF to survive. SAF chances look very slim, but we could see the draw go shorter with rain.

Some variables in the forecast. Some sites say Monday will be dire. Others say brief showers. Possibility the rain headed for the north west tomorrow will miss Manchester.
I wouldn't be laying the draw for weather reasons and that Root doesn't need to force a win. He'll still want the usual 450+ lead. SA do look shot though. Not sure they care enough or are good enough to stop 3-1 |
