Yes it is, only got Morkel and Rabada who look dangerous, the rest is just pie bowling.

that's a lot of spin for a day 1 pitch

looks a bat 1st, get 1st inns runs pitch, england well set unless the weather intervenes

If Maharaj can hold an end, it brings the Saffers right back into it.

Will back SA if they get to 10s.

Bit in the pitch, sort of session pitch where you could easily have a session of 70-4 for example

Market surprisingly indifferent to Cook's wicket. Will try to get on SA at 7s. Even without Big Phil, enough in the attack and the track that they could get England for 300 or so.

Nicely set up for Root+co to plunder this attack!

Could happen. It's still a pretty useful attack.

Time to take off some draw red? Might wait a bit, as don't expect Malan to last.

Eng still skinny but then again less to do with their prowess
and more to do with SA lamentable'performance' last time out
plus perceived weakened bowling attack

Don't think England price that silly. SA will have to attack and have a fairly dubious batting line up.

in fairness there's uneven bounce as well, this is gunna be nightmare to play on later 300 will be a good score 1st dig

Doesn't look like there is going to be any plundering of attacks in this game so far. Ball is still doing plenty, was batting first a good idea? probably, but reckon England may well have taken more wickets by now, just because they would have had 4 seamers bowling, allowing two to get a rest, whereas here only Morkel Rabada and Oliver to bowl, while Maharaj contains

By:
wondersobright
When: 04 Aug 17 15:00
they may have taken more than 3 wickets at this stage but the batting last on this at the back end would come back and bite them imo if they had chosen to bowl
By:
wondersobright
When: 04 Aug 17 15:00
we've seen a bit of spin and variable bounce already, this track is not getting easier to bat on as the game goes on
By:
wondersobright
When: 04 Aug 17 15:02
more movement
By:
wondersobright
When: 04 Aug 17 15:02
sliding imo
