wow it does, England are going to have to bat pretty poorly to lose this.

Only 4 bowlers, one of them pretty tosh

Yes that's for sure, but when a top bowler is missing, good sides will find someone else or someone else turn up and does well. England with the toss won and batting are very very short at 1.9. Expect England to lose a couple of early wickets and then will be the time to back England.

Going to have to be a very poor performance from England to lose this game

Rain possible on Monday, Tuesday, although forecasts do change. Yes England to bat forever, well that's unlikely unless Cook takes root at the crease. England have quite a few might/might not batsmen, with most being shot makers. With South Africa having to win, they would chase anything in the final innings and may get the run or likely to be bowled out. Then of course there's our wonderful weather so yes it will need a very poor England performance, but that's what usually happens after a win.

SAF will struggle to take 20 wickets with a 2 man attack

Yes again for sure, but anything can happen in sport, so nothing is ever free money, it just looks free money.

Have to be careful, likely to be a bit in the pitch this morning, watching for now

Like the England batsmen, I will be waiting till Morkel/Rabada are out of the attack before I launch my assault

You wouldn't think so, he's looked mainly out of his depth, abeit against a very good bowling attack. He's was missed early today and a lot of the 46 he got at the Oval were from inside edges and shots that were inaudacious.
By:
wondersobright
When: 04 Aug 17 11:53
he had more than a couple whistle past his outside edge, only a matter of time

could have been out at least 3 times for that oval innings, doesn't look a test cricketer to me

Well he shouldn't be picked for the Ashes series, but he'll probably be kept for the Windies series, where he may get some easier runs and then of course he'll go to Australia, but already in my mind, he's just not good enough.

Easier runs, i fear not.
By:

there will be easier runs on offer, whether he gets them or not is a completely different matter

Well their attack is nowhere near as good as this one.

that is also the problem with picking a Division 2 player, as well. The attacks in that League are modest to say the least.

SAF have a 70mph pieman bowling after 20 overs, they're in big big trouble!
By:
cricketnut2
When: 04 Aug 17 12:46
yes, that was last season, when he did well, but he's currently playing against very average bowlers, when he plays, the same happened with Duckett, loads of runs in Div 2, few runs when he went into Test Cricket. Batsmen are quickly worked out in Test Cricket unfortunately, he scored a debut ton in India and has since scored 164 in his last 10 Test Match innings. Duckett has scored 110 runs in 7 innings at Test match level.

england would be 3 or 4 down this morning in these conditions with big vern bowling
