Oh and I got an England lay in at 2.56 as Amla hit Dawson for 6. I'd be quite alarmed for England from here: two utter gun batsmen set and scoring at a decent rate on a good surface but one which tends to offer the bowlers something throughout so hard to see out a draw.

In fact, England look a massive lay at 4s here. I've gone a grand red on them, although with a draw lay to come. The England batting isn't mostly sited to grinding it out and every chance of staring down a big or even a massive score here.

Suited, not sited. Point against SA is not their met threatening looking pace battery but plenty of options and England's batting fragile up top.

Always wary of laying a bowling team on a wicket offering some assistance, only need 2 quick wickets and you'll be in deep doo doo especially with the England market love

There's plenty of time to get back in the green if needed but it's not offering that much to the bowling side, is it? You're right about England market love but that's why the price is 4s despite a moderately horrible match state. Other thing is, it might work just fine to ride it out even if SA all out for 350 or so and England back in a time 2.9, as think they'll be quite likely to lose enough early wickets to get out.

I've turned a wonderful position into a shocker. Well, SA collapse has done me horribly but backing the draw after the third wicket was bad betting and after successfully getting a draw back after the 4th wicket laid off again, foolishly took some more when the market blipped up.

Actually, checking I'm nominally still a couple of hundred green if I want to be. So I've just turned a massive position into a flat one, rather than a bad one. I did also win 34p on Cilic earlier so apart from a £990 toss loss, has been a great day.
