Tempted by a bit of Pak but at 2.5, I think they've got quite a few more runs to get first innings to justify that price and lose a couple more quickly and they could easily be ao for under 200. I think 250 gives them a better than even chance, although I'm not actually watching it so may be way out.

I think I'm just going to lay some more draw. Hurts to be doing it at 7s but this game really can't end in a stalemate.

Maybe you are getting old slogger!

I too have today betted like a Fat Banker. Normally I would spend a pound to make a 100 but today I have joined the lay crew and maybe just maybe I too will be able to start living the dream like Juce in Thailand!

Outfield so slow 200 runs on here would equate to 230 on a normal ground...worth bearing in mind.

I was contemplating laying Pakistan near evens then backing them at 2.2

Even at 2.2 I thought wickets were likely and would drive Pakistan up so I held off. Then I though about backing England at 2.5's plus with a view to lay back which would have worked. I somehow think pakistan will have enough and the pitch will deteriorate. Wahab with his speed with the ball reversing will be tough to keep at bay and with Shah Pakistan will surely ultimately triumph.  I guess the clue is in the ultimately....just because I betted like a fat Banker this mornind doesn't mean I can keep it in my pants all day. I may have to walk on. Average draw lay 5.16

I've accidentally got three lays of the draw on at 8s for £100 because the app pretended the first two hadn't fired off so I'm now £550 green on a result and £3160 red on the draw. Looking at the game though, I just cannot see how it can be drawn. Even if Pak somehow get up to 300, which I with no more batting in the hutch is a very tall order, how on earth could England get enough first innings runs on this to keep the draw in the market? Although with the draw now trading at 8.2/8.4, I probably ought either to back it or lay England.

Should be backing pakistan but want to reduce draw liability.  Guess that is why I do not work in the city, it makes mo sense.

Just got home and can't believe how short England are. 250 is an excellent score on here. Spinning track & slow outfield

Indeed I do, but as a bean counter.

well until you elucidated with the bean counter but my follow up question was do you eat baked potatoes and pizza!Laugh ( referring to my earlier posts! )

I do find it difficult to lay at these levels but it is quite clearly the right thing to do. I just have a hankering that pakistan despite giving a couple of their wickets away already may be on their way to a winning score.

Note to self. We are talking about Pakistan. Ensure I have sufficient green on England before Pakistan bat again in case the Pakistani Pensions Adviser has visited their dressing room!Wink

OK I am going to find some more undeclared income to get ready for laying the draw again at close of play....looking for 4's!

I don't think that is dislocated but can see him not bowling again, certainly in this innings, possibly in the match.

Samit Patel, how many half capable club cricketers would not fancy facing him and scoring plenty? Surely we have a better slow left-arm orthodox spinner option.

You have a point topscore but name a better one apart from Monty?

Pakistan have given many wickets away but you get the feeling Shah will run through England

He can't pitch two balls on the trot, hit and miss poor .

Oh for Deadly!

I was thinking taht there is plenty of bounce for the spinners and Shah will make it spit. Derek would have been very uncomfotable to particularly because he would have been patient enough to drop it on the spot and wait for the pitch to do something or the player to make a mistake. I loved watching him and Knotty. APE Knott!

Woeful from England spinners. You have to feel sorry for Cook

I'll probably lay the draw at stumps, even though laying the draw at a big price is usually the road to the poorhouse in Tests.

England a bowler down, and a 2 wickets already and haven't faced a ball.  Not sure I seem them anywhere near favourites.

Another reason England are way too short is that they will have to bat last.

Eng bat deep - lead of 75 or so could well be enough
