there we go, walking wicket.

what a complete div. deserves to lose his place. Second ball ffs!

cheerio adam.
you've not got it. |
By:
amazing the number of utterly flawed openers we've gone through since getting rid of Compton because Andy Flower didn't like him.
By:
Played a poor shot the over before against Lyon, now this.
His head must be made of scrambled egg. Such a shame cos England have given him the whole series to deliver but.. |

warne like a dog with a bone over siddle's selection; he is, of course, entirely right.
By:
Shane - we realise you think Siddle should have been picked in the last Test and not in this one.
The reason we realise this is because you have been going on about it since yesterday morning. Please tell us more stories about crisps / pizza / nights out with Beefy or how Michael Clarke is a great guy and none of this is his fault... ![]() ![]() |

![]() Must have been typing while you posted! Got to the stage now when I have to turn him off in a Nick Knight style. |
By:
Good ball but surely he should have got foraward on this pitch?
Credit to Siddle. I am not his biggest fan but he is a trier and more than capable. Just goes to show what can happen when your openers go too soon. Thank God the ball is already 23 overs old. Steyn, Phillander, Morkel. looking forward to making a lot of money this winter! |

blimey, did Johhny Barstad just hit a drive to mid off?
By:
Good use of hot spot..... showing it before the ball reached the bat

Out for me this.

Slightest nick on hotspot for mine.... If the noise wasn't there, wouldn't have seen it?

Whispering - spot on. Bell gets bowled far too often because he plays too deep.
He's not balanced hence his right leg comes around after he missed it. Atherton saying it was a jaffer. A basic forward push with high hands would have dealt with that. |
By:
I thought unless the evidence was overwhelming they stayed with the onfield umpires decision!!
By:
Pathetic but unexpected from England with the bat. If the oppo put a score on the board, out lot seem incapable of batting for more than two sessions...
By:
pathetic response by eng as i predicted..unfortunately been having such a poor run(lasted decades and i'm only half joking) that run out of the wherewithall to back my judgment
allin all a strange series which much flatters england..more so a result of absolutely pathetic play at various stages by both sides Timeform would run out of squiggles |
By:
Batting averages will be interesting. Only Moeen and Root will look good.
As you say Johnny, a strange series. |
By:
You have to wonder what would have happened if England had batted first in the previous two games.
As for going on to cement their place at the top of the rankings and we could make a case for the legalisation of canabis. Major problems with this team. One opener short. A number three short. Thank god the Captain has regained some measure of himself. I like butler but am not convinced at present. A number 5 short ( good luck to bairstow, not faulting his commitment ).A spinner short and what bowlers do we have on flat wickets? I think the UAE could well prove a problem for England this Autumn. |
By:
Pakistan have never lost there.
By:
You have to say this has been a pathetic series for batting: one side gets a decent score the board and the other disintegrates.
By:
Only Sunday/Monday rain is preventing me from laying the draw.
By:
I can't see us getting to Sunday, to be honest. Clarke will enforce the follow-on for sure with weather around.
By:
trying to think how these clowns would have fared in 1976

Buttler..shocking series with the bat
By:
These very one sided Ashes games have not been great for viewing. Massive victory margins & capitulations makes this not a memorable Ashes.
By:
I doubt they'd have needed your back-up bowlers, Whispering. You and Andy Roberts would have 10 apiece each innings.
By:
absolutely no conceivable excuse for this pusillanimous reply by England, none whatsoever
for once Aus applied themselves Eng way too hubristic imho |
By:
Wow, when I nodded off a couple of hours ago the draw was 2s.

I don't see how this gets to Sunday!
By:
This is filth.

By:
England will get a right wake up call on their future peregrinations
should hang their heads in shame |
By:
shameful display
By:
as many have said, beating australia at anything is always enjoyable, particularly if you lived through the late 80s and 90s, but truth be told, save Finn's recall and Root's batting, there's not really been that much to celebrate
the series scoreline has largely been decided by some absolutely dreadful application from both sides, and a few brilliant spells from various bowlers. |
