Sharma was fanatsic when he first arrived on the scene. have a look on youtube of him working over Ricky Ponting in 2008. It was the best spell of fast bowling I have seen by an Indian ( working over fast bowling I mean, proper fast bowling, not swinging it when the clouds are low! ).

He has faltered to deceive ever since. I knew he was a good bowler but was shocked and surprised at Lords.

sorry to bring a bit of humour to the thread, but I am listening to tms and they are reviewing the 1984 series when the west indies destroyed England in a test series. in documentary style members of the public are interviewed and a black bloke waxed lyrical and I quote " we were up against thatchers tory government and characters like willie whitelaw arresting us 24 hours a day, and when that west indies team took to the field they were representing us and I loved it when the windies won the series as it was won against the establishment who were against us" was that really 30 years ago? I remember it so well.those were the days.. nothing has changed has it?

Sadly it has changed. West Indian kids don't slope down to the Oval or Egbaston. Their cricket tean is an International Joke but remembering When We Were Kings is just brilliant!

It has changed in that dem yutes are sad now. No backbone no fight, x-box and anything for an easy life. This is a great show! Fond memories. Apathy has taken over this country. We let our rulers rule unchecked as ever.
