I'll throw in something from 'left field' - the police abandoned football games at Manchester City and Everton last season not before of waterlogged pitches, but because there were health and safety issues for fans travelling to the stadiums, and the authorities didn't want that.
This all becomes irrelevant of course if India are skittled out by Saturday night. |

Heavy showers and dry spells until 7pm. Not sure there will be enough time to get out before it starts again..

This one is going to last a whole.. Take into account the time they take to get back out and the high chance of further showers.. It will be difficult to get any further play. Saturday is to be bright however I've been told there is a chance of rain for about 2 hours in the afternoon at the moment.

If you look at the radar images you have to think of Old Trafford being a little WSW from the city. The remaining hot spots are going more over the city centre.
