Small loss in the end but was hoping 4 a nice payout! That was as bad as eng were in aus last yr. Thing is woakes and jordan bowled pretty poorly and broad was injured! Didnt see that sort of collapse coming on that pitch. Ashwin played effortlessly!

Feel sorry for Gambhir.
He should not have been selected to tour. Plenty of better openers in India and younger. He had no batting and it wasn't his fault. I said at the start it was not a good idea. The Ashwin thing is just plain dumb. He is worth his place in this side as a batsman and Jadeja is not a good enough bowler or batsman to warrant a place ahead of Ahswin. I understand they need him for balance and these Engish pitches have been helpful for him. I think the injury to Sharma was telling, the ommission of Yadav from the tour is proving to be glaring now. Aaron has done well. I think not having Ashwin from the start was the biggest mistake though. |

Not many batsmen will cope with Anderson when the ball is swinging all day though...should be able to handle spin though these boys

To be fair England have bowled in some great conditions first up at Lords, Southampton and here they got the cloud cover. I thought the game was won with Anderson's bowling in his first spell. He had the ju ju and India were shott. Fraud was just the beneficiary with the wickets in the first innings but Anderson was the star for me.

England lay is aso an option next test! If they go odds on it may be worth a punt. Oval is not so fast these days. Pitch likely to be dry. If by some chance they manage to put an innings together if they win the toss that could be the bet

Just got back from work after leaving a confident position. Come on guys, you could clearly see what was going on. You should have heard TMS, they knew too. The bowling was one of the worst performances this series yet India collapse to it? If you believe in conspiracies then Cricket is the place to bet, just pick the right side of it lol
