So hot spot fails again??
By:
definitely heard noise, althought nothing seen on Hot Spot. bell decision correct based on 'Snickometer' readings
By:
Can't believe the umpire didn't give him out, massive noise and he clearly edged it, thank goodness the drs stopped that one from being a massive howler, good innings from one of the players in your side who invariably is up for the fight
By:
not sure how u can overturn that
By:
Snickometer= Showed a Noise (OUT), Hot Spot= Showed NO marks (NOT OUT). Evidence suggests it was OUT
By:
But yeah agree that Hot Spot is not bullet proof
By:
if root first innings couldn't be overturned that shouldn't have been
By:
He knew he hit it too
By:
probably too hot for hot spot, its melted in the heat like everybody else.
By:
curse of Atherton
"20 overs away the new ball not much happening for Australia" next ball Bell caught ![]() ![]() |
By:

By:
The noise was consistent with the ball passing the bat, couldn't of been anything else
By:
absolutely he knew he hit it, you could see him thinking I can't believe I played that shot.
By:
I don't think the third Umpire should have over turned the decision although I am not saying he didn't hit it! Both hotspot and snicko are not reliable so on field decision should have stood... but it was out!
By:
so you want howlers like that to stand??? It's because of bad original decisions like that one that we actually we have the drs. Not everyone is like stuart broad, out is out and in situations like that you know that you're out.
By:
England are not out of this just yet
By:
265 runs more needed
By:
Aussies wishing they probably had another 80-100 runs in the bank
By:
Stokes looks very comfortable

By:
England can still win this.................
By:
like I said 4 hours or so ago. You lay the draw and back England for a freebie. That was when the draw was at 10's and Engerland at 50's. You are always going to score runs here at the Waca even if you lose wickets.
By:
World records are there to be broken, and Ive always believed with Clarke's early declarations, eventually one will come to bite him
By:
england have about as much chance of winning this as I have of opening the batting for Australia and I used to be a decent opening batsman.
Pom's chances of winning none and faark all!!! |
By:
Thats what I thought back in 2008 @ WACA between Australia and South Africa, Saffers got 414
By:
I would hardly call Clarke's dec 500 ahead "early"
By:
But I will say with Clarke's early declarations more often the not he will win more games than not
By:
I dont mind his declaration styles, it always opens up the chances of his teams chances winning increasing but at the same time the opposition's (while trying to eliminate the draw)
By:
Aggressive captaincy is the only way to go WCE, if anything he declared a fraction late no chance of them getting to 504 runs I have a bigger chance of marrying Jennifer Anniston or Katie Holmes(loved her in Dawson's Creek).
By:
This pommy team is not a patch on that South African side WCE.
By:
Eng 251/5 @ stumps
By:
England need 253 more, Aussies need 5 wickets, 90 overs remain
By:
Classy knock by Stokes
By:
I don't bet on cricket and couldn't be bothered ringing up to take advantage of the easy money on offer today but I might ring up over night and have a bet here laying the draw and an england win, both are complete and utter fantasy!!!
By:
You don't have to ring up
By:
I think if England get it down to 130 runs to win with 5 wickets in Hand, it will be even money Aus 2.00 v 2.00 England , might be worth a lay to back bet on Australia at odds of around 1.09
By:
At the moment the market has it , England will score Under/Over 120.5 runs...............
By:
dont know whether to watch "miracle on 52nd street" or watch the cricket unfurl tomorrow.
By:
yes you do joel. I tested it this this afternoon with a token bet and it wouldn't go through.
By:
Well that was when the game was being played, at stumps the market is no longer in-play so you can do it online.
