Is it true that the top 10 averages with the bat this series features Bell at number 10, being the highest pom?

Will England Survive The Day? (day 4) YES 6.40 v 1.18 NO
By:
correction other way around YES 1.18 v 6.40 NO
By:
test match ends today, Pommies dont look interested, half of them all want to go home from their body language in the field today
By:
what prices should england get through the session unscathed?
By:
I backed Aussies at 1/4 in a double yesterday. Is there any real danger of the draw?
By:
no chance of a draw. I dont mmany teams that can survive here for 150+ overs
By:
By:
740 dot balls would do it...
By:
either team will win there will not be a draw
By:
By:
why is the draw coming in after Pieterson hits a 6 and a 4? Very confused here. Yes Aussie should go out but more importantly England should come in and the draw come out too? Or is there a bit of rain in the air somewhere?
By:
you mean i wake up?
and we have less than 120 runs. |
By:
draw will trade odds on at some point here.
By:
no steviewonder, you have been missing for a large chunk of this series
as I type pieterson is gonnnnnneeski see you in a few weeks when all the damage is over and done with ![]() ![]() |
By:
if these two bat the day they will be 200 overnight, if they bat all day tomorrow they will get 300 easy .. there will be no draw

![]() Nice one Stevie! |
By:

By:
Harris moved two paces to his left and one step forward! and even the one forward was half a step too far!
By:
surely they won't send Broad in to bad if they need more than 200 or so, just going to get bombarded with yorkers
By:
of course he should come out to bat!
By:
broad will bat
By:

England players more interested in the 1 day off, so they can go sightseeing, to the local pub. These guys not interested in putting their heart and soul into this game..............Also heard from the commentary today, its the 1st time in Ashes series, a team has set a target of 500+ in 3 consecutive games
By:
Seriously don't know if some of the poms on here are on drugs, simply have no idea or suffer from a combination of both.
The 2nd highest successful 2nd innings run chase in the history of test cricket is South Africa's 4/414 in 2008 and this mob have zero hope hope of scoring an extra 90 run in this test against this bowling attack. Laying England the win is money for jam and barring an act of god the draw is as well but by all means continue clinging to your delusional fantasies. |
By:
I'd expect him to crawl to the wicket so long as he could stand up to face!
I think at this point in the series that although I withdrew my availablity for selection for England at Football ( as a mark of respect for the Romford Pele who announced his retirement from International Football even though he was no longer being selected anyway! ) I remain as always till I die for selection for England and the MCC. I further promise even after two or three bottles of fizz I would not let my country down ( and Injera tell your son, although he is only ten right now ) that when you play with a stinking hangover and a fast bowler is whistling them at you 3 at a time, always play the one in the middle! I further offer myself in the Brealey role and whilst my batting is generally not Test standard at the current time, from what I have seen from England so far I don't think I would embarrass myself ! |
By:
hmm. some encouraging stuff from stokes, but i still think you need someone who can handle the new ball at 6.
By:
dont mind stokes, shown glimpses with the bat and ball at times since he came into their side in this series.
By:
defintely with ball prior to this innings, but a couple of shots of real substance in this knock.
that drive through straight mid on off johnson and the footwork to lyon were both proper shots. |
By:
just needs to pick out a fielder, and you could argue that bell is playing as well as pietersen.
By:
Counterattack by England. Your over 99.5 is indeed nailed on WCE, wp.
By:
Stokes definately has what it takes. Just hopes his international career is given a chance to progress. He is prodigeously talented and needs a run in the side.
His batting will develop but the work needs to be done on his bowling to make him into a third seamer if it is at all possible. He has the natural pace just needs to learn the trade. |
By:
I would be seething as an English supporter, England look good when batting last but the game is over by then
By:
Dude,
We are past seething. Look at the pitch, still a joy to bat on. We are helpless and hopeless. The players have let us down but our anger is aimed at the management. We have been out played but completely out thought. |
By:
First time all series that Aussie bowlers are under pressure.
By:
stupid shot really, been playing glorious straight drives then plays that rubbish
