Still here BJT, I worked it out at 13.2 overs per hour a few overs ago, which isn't much different to England yesterday.
Anyway, still confident England don't lose this test, think Aus are pretty short atm tbh. The bowlers seem to be flagging to me and Cook when well set and given early chances is generally ominous |

Carberry will go in the summer, Root to open and Ballance at 6. I thought Carberry was leaving ok but then he started trying to take the bat out of the way at the last minute and that is no way at this level. He also started try and play some crazy cowboy shots at times for no good reason. We won't be seeing much more of Carberry or Rogers when this series is over.

Well, if you seriously think Englands overrate since Cook took over is acceptable, then nothing I say can change that. He was fined on his first test as captain and has not improved it since.

Agree with cnman here - think Aus are a bit low at the moment, for similar reasons
- bowlers don't seem to be as venomous at the moment, perhaps heat has impact on them also - England quite comfortable playing/plodding away - would be happy with a draw here (re-group to some extent) - you have to assume they will have done some homework to improve their resistance to Aus attack |

Was pointed out early that their backswing was a lot lower to counter the pace. Think the ball starting to show signs of doing something though, so not sure really.
A team shown to collapse at a rate of 6/9 hardly says anything about what is to come. |

It was an edge to the keeper, who spilled it to slip. No different to Haddin's in the same match who didn't walk (or Smith's in this match, or Clarke's at Adelaide in 2010 etc etc) |
