yr.no forecast has got a lot worse for sunday. from 2pm it looks pretty heavy now.

Game will be close to being over, by Sunday, a quicker wicket, which is getting harder to bat on, especially now England are bowling on it. I can see NZ being bowled out for 175-200 and could be around 80-4, by the end of the day tomorrow, which leaves England 1 day and 2 hours to get 6 wickets and any runs needed. I think an innings victory for England is likely to happen.

So in short we are probably looking at England needing the 17 wickets in 4 sessions.....

NZ needing 200 more runs to avoid the FO and secure the draw.......

as the storm horizon approaches, could well miss South and the game concludes on Sunday or sooner if NZ dont make the FO target.

Game goes to Monday and different matter IMHO

Still a chance of few hours play on Monday too as rain expected evening time but nobody knows for sure. Getting williamson out reasonably early would go along way to an England win as the pitch slowly begins to turn .

If rain is possibly anticipated for 1400 -1600 on Sunday do we think Bad Light could come into the equation late AM or just after lunch?
The forecast seems to be more of gloomy cloud for most of the day....
Reading the commentary it appears the last hour or so today was touch and go with light.
Would hate to lay the draw due to rain arriving later now only to find we lose 2+ hours of play due to the light.

..............meanwhile, a confusing picture from the 'experts' and synoptic gurus re Welly weather.  Head now scrambled....Draw onside is very prudent imo.

What a great pitch this is. Spin, and bounce for the quicks.

I'm still bamboozled by teams insistence on bowling to Prior's strengths. Will they ever learn??

Hi Ted.

England win this before the rain, right?

Cool

good chance yes, but think we get some odds on draw again without too much of a hoot.  4/5/6 down however, soonish, changes that if the FO is laid bare on the table....Happy

But its not going to be a washout for the complete last 2 days, unless forecasts are wrong. They don't seem too happy facing the England bowlers, who are streets ahead of the NZ bowlers, as the commentators said in Englands 1st innings, lets see boths sides bowl, before we decide how flat this wicket is.
Remember England won in India, so their not going to have too much trouble the weaker NZ batting over, apart from on a flat SLOW pitch.

Not convinced at all.  NZ are better than most seem to think.  Should avoid the follow on and then it's ENG playing cat and mouse with the weather.  50:50 for me so happy to hold a bigger position on draw over ENG right now.

No we know NZ aren't that bad, but apart from SA, Englands pace bowling attack in the best in the world
