Most money I ever lost in a test match resulted from me relying on a NZ weather forecast.
About 6K as I recall. Just saying. * The o in match above is just weird **** happening. |

Yep. Weather forecasts are touch and go particularly 6 days out - just flagging it up and hence why I'll start small and keep an eye on it. Just thinking that the draw could go out heavily to say 10 on a load of wickets but weather forecast not change. Market always seems to forget weather in play test matches.

Trying to think of the most I've lost on the weather - probably around £1k - I find good reliability up to two days out - then it becomes a lottery, however if there's large amounts forecast as there is here it usually sweeps in at some point.

new zealand forecast can be tricky as they are hard to get accurate. its not like asia where the rain usually comes in the evening.it would be value to be in contact with local to help with profit pitch should have a bit more pace and bounce than dunedin is likely to get easier to play as the match goes on. will back the draw if england bats first.

The entire north island is in a major drought at the moment, hasn't been hardly any rain here in Wellington for the last couple of months (half a day of light showers that I can remember) and metservice has rain on Monday only. I have laid NZ for now but might look at backing england if they bowl first.

The weather forcaster on one news staked his reputation on rain on Sunday. Its the remains of a cyclone system heading south so should be heavy if it arrives. He is a NUT though.
Fookin fed up with the sun! NZ will have wrapped this up before then so weather not a problem |

Well metservice did have rain starting Monday but they've changed it now. Perhaps I had it open in my browser from the previous evening or something.
MetService forecaster Brooke Lockhart said there was an increased chance of showers across the Wellington region for a few days from Sunday. But the forecast was uncertain at this stage, because it depended on what path Tropical Cyclone Sandra took as it headed south towards the Tasman Sea. http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/8417298/Wellingtons-water-supply-now-at-crisis-level |
