Draw price now collapsing again, into 5.7.
Weather forecasts not good at all |
By:
the storm is gonna get there in approx 2 hours imo

Gonna be touch and go. If NZ scored another 30-40 runs I'd be a bit more safe on the draw. Got $50 on the draw paying $25 though so I'm just gonna sit on it and see where it takes me.

By:
thought reports said it was 240 km away at 5am local ?
By:
moving 35k per hour roughly so approx 1130am but fringes will hit earlier imo
By:
Also a chance if NZ don't get early wickets that they may slow things down. Maybe bowl defensively and try and strike gold with the rain. It could really be that close.
By:
if it was 240km away at 5am, then 5 hours on it will have travelled at least 200km surley? it was traveling at 24mph or so
By:
Its also 500km wide which everyone seems to have missed, compare the storm system to the size of Jamacia its about 8-10 times as big, it does not need to nail it dead centre at all, its not a fxxking light shower on sunday afternoon that spoils a picnic, its a hurricane, it brings bad weather. the last weather this bad in the uk was in 1982
By:
no 240 miles (not km) and moving at 22mph thats at 5am, so unless it speeds up it will take take 12 hours (assuming its heading direct to jamaica)
By:
thats the centre rider the size is at least 500km wide which Probst eluded to
By:
cloud doesnt mean rain PTTT, we can all see a big swirl of cloud on the satellite
By:
the coulds are carrying precipition as there is so moisture in the air rider
By:
keep backing the draw then
By:
2/1 out to 6/1 suggests otherwise
By:

By:
2 days to go, plenty of time to turn that around PTTT
By:

![]() |
By:
essentially not much has changed to forcast it just that the sun is out at mo
By:
i don't think its the rain thats the problem, the winds are quite bad, so that could yet play a part, we will see i guess.
By:
dam yes forgot about win speed could be a major factor whats current speed at mo
By:
well the storm is about 22mph atm
By:
no its moving at 22 mph.. the winds are 50ish

"The equation is: West Indies need 71 runs, New Zealand need six wickets. The other thing occupying West Indies cricket fans' minds over the past couple of days has been the weather, especially the progress of tropical storm Ernesto. The good news is the sun is out and the rain is staying away for now. When it does arrive, expect it to wipe out huge amounts of play.
Anyway, we probably need another two hours of play to settle this Test, right now the storm threat looks silly, as fans are greeted by blue skies and just a few wispy clouds" |

anyone backing the draw in this match really needed their head examined. nobody ever went broke laying ridiculously priced draws in test cricket.
