15/1 a tropical storm seems low odds even if there is a chance of it
By:
yeah, got a lump on it at 60 - market slowly realised it ain't finishing this evening and rains/winds could come in - less than 20/1
By:
windies got matched at 1.37 just now , wtf ?
By:
i also put a two figure sum on draw at 60 he he just in case |
By:
doesnt get much easier than this test match to make money

everyone wins on cricket
By:
you win some, you lose some, in the end if you made some then its all ok, if not then remember its gambling, who told you to try make a living out of it? ![]() |
By:
when teams like this play each other you lay any of the shorties
all results have been strong odds on at some point |
By:
with samuels gone , this is game on , chanderpaul needs to dig deep
By:
i was trading the draw for nice green during the first 2 days when this hurricane was spooking the market , my work is done
By:
i'd like to see the kiwis nip another out here before the close
By:
whoever is backing the windies that low needs their head testing
one more wicket and the windies are stuffed here |
By:
didnt I tell you taht they will take 15 overs to make 18 and then a wicket will fall hehe i still think wi will win this but not backing them huge here
![]() |
By:
4 overs to go until the close ...
By:
surely even the WI can't screw this up. LOL
By:
not been watching cricket long nigel
there used to be a forumite called Cuddy who would be hiding behind the sofa about now |
By:
LOL - All about SC - he's the man you want for WI in this situation.
By:
I wouldn't like to say how i have traded this match but i really am hoping for a tie
![]() |
By:
yeah, definitely been challenging.
By:
where do I start? My first bet was good l
ayed WI before the match at 1.95 for a huge amount traded at about 2.5 to go happy green and big profit on WI when NZ were going good then layed again WI all green plus more, thinking NZ will get 300 plus-mistake and then idiot NZ collapse backed windies again at 1.7ish with huge red on NZ thinking WI will make 350 and match is over then WI collapse hehe and I am thorughly *%%(%( from there on lost track and was all red few hours later redeemed today with managebale losses with one brave and good bet backed WI at 1.8 after second wicket still a totally silly trading this match for me cant believe I have done this, dont do it often, but hey thats the way it is,cheers! |
By:
some pretty basic errors there Gcricket
never rely on these type of teams to go well with the bat they rarely get 300+ |
By:
I love the way d13phe writes as if it's obvious - it's all gambling.
By:
he he well said |
By:
don't write off a windies collapse yet , I know it seems unlikely and if chanderpaul stays there then Windies will probably train to victory, but i wouldn't be backing them at 1.1x
By:
hmmm.. it will only take one batsman to get 25+ and it's over. Really slim odds against them now.
By:
wi will win but no point backing them here at these odds
a small loss is better than a huge one when its not a win reduce and accept the loss and move on,there is next one coming up ![]() |
By:
it's all about putting the odds in your favour. I've backed 1.01 and 1.02 in the past when I believe the odds to be slimmer than the price. I reckon it's 1/10 Windies don't win thus 1.19 is value.

Huge Ernesto panic potential in the next few hours
By:
can someone help.I and my mate both think the draw should be around 500/1,why is it only 19/1,is this only a 4 day test,is weather forecast dreadful and its a race against the clock to rack up the remaining 70 runs??
By:
It's been raining in Jamaica overnight. Might still be raining. The outer edge of tropical storm Ernesto has arrived.
Ernesto is expected to dump 3-6 inches of rain on Jamaica over next 48 hrs or so. Not to mention the winds. |
By:
Yeah BigMig.
I've just read this. http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/the_americas/jamaicans-prepare-for-possible-heavy-rains-as-tropical-storm-ernesto-heads-for-sunday-pass/2012/08/04/b3dd128a-deab-11e1-8ad1-909913931f71_story.html |

By:
thanks guys, makes sense now and also why the draw went off at slight odds on!!
By:
I think everyone has woken up to the fact now. Draw will go odds on soon at this rate!!
By:
market gone crazy was 30s this morning at 7am went into 5's now its 8's again going to be fun this one
By:
Absolute touch and go here. Once it starts rainging properly it will not stop. They may also have to abandon the match due to the game for safety reasons. The high winds will not arrive till Monday afternoon but rain coming off the Blue Muntains runs down into Kingston and will cause chaos and rock slides.
All a bit up in the air here and praying for rain! |

Also the rain is coming in from the NE at the moment so you guys on WI are ok but once it comes ESE all bets will be off. I'd suggest everybody scarmble to clear positions and enjoy the fun from a distance. Cut losses who knows what will happen.
