Doubtful.

I also find it a bit problematic that someone who likes to claim he cares about women's rights seems to entirely dismiss Dr. Ford's accusations as a Democratic Party conspiratory plot ("If they had got away with this")

^

Womens' rights (and mens' rights) are of course important.

But it has to be balanced.

If this guy was convicted of sexual assault he should be thrown to the wolves. None of this community service or out in a few years.

But he was not convicted.

There has to be balance. Allegations are just that.. allegations. The person making the allegations is not a victim - they are someone making allegations. They are a victim if the allegations are proved.

It is not acceptable for peoples' careers to be ruined by false allegations and it is not acceptable for those convicted of sexual assault to be walking our streets. It goes both ways.

This #metoo movement is actually damaging the real victims because of the number of absurd cases being claimed at the moment.

i do not get the job interview.if Ford had not come forward then there would be no hearing as he had already gone through his court judgement hearings over 30 hours or so of them.so if Ford never came forward that last hearing would never have happened and his drinking and temperament would never have come out like it did

You're not suggesting that the balance is on the women's side right now, are you?

Have you ANY self-awareness? Have you really no idea how preposterously hard you`re scraping the barrel, when you claim I`ll be `damned` for owning a Dreambox, at the same time as your evil cult kills hundreds of millions? Truly risible stuff, well deserving of a Sunday CHORTLE!!!

Sounds like Edy is playing you at your own game and getting right under your sinful skin.

The balance is on the side of those in position of power over another indivdual regardless of gender.

It is only a sexist person that would claim otherwise.

and men are vastly in the positions of power in our societies. I was worried for a bit that you had bought into the male victimhood sham that has started appearing because super cringeworthy, whiny, frankly pathetic, men didn't like their still massive privilege being chipped away at at a snail's pace. Good to see you acknowledge that the balance is still far in the male corner.

The oldest two Justices, both hardcore lefties, are 85 and 80,  The Don could well oversee a 7-2 majority, which would confirm his place in the history books as having left the greatest, longest lasting legacy, of having truly changed the direction America more than anyone, ever, with evil lefties looking forward to a hundred years of SEETHING! In effect, he`s killing leftieism in front of our very eyes and, after he`s finished exposing it, the world will have come to its senses. What a pleasant vision!

I wonder why those two elderly justices didn't retire during President Obama's tenure?

Because they knew Hillary was going to win! So confident was obama, he didn`t even bother filling District Court positions, a mistake The Don is gleefully taking advantage of. What joy!!!

I agree, Tim, but at such an advanced age it surely would have been wise not to take the chance?

Done on purpose

You don't leave anything to chance, esp in an election that was quite hostile towards Clinton

I'm now of the belief that election was **** for Trump to win, the things happening right now are not coincidental imo, the sudden lurch to the right is now painfully obvious, the campaigns run by the likes of Tommy Robinson and his ilk are to obvious after Trumps win

I guarantee right now that none of them will care a jot about "pedophilia" if they ever get into power, and remember politicians will say what they need to say to get votes, its no different for this lot on the right

Well, they saw how...much time the Republicans had when it came to Obama trying to replace the deceased Scalia with Merrick. Though it didn't really matter who Obama nominated of course. The Senate Republicans had made it clear in early 2016 that they'd block any Obama nomination.

Which was quite unusual I think, might've even been unprecedented. At least as far as I know, Democrat controlled senate had seen the confirmation of multiple Republican nominees in the past (e.g two by Bush Sr.), and the Republicans had also confirmed when they had control of the Senate and a Democratic president had nominated someone.

Great speech Mr Pres Love

"Trump apologises to Kavanaugh over 'unfair' treatment"

As the White House ceremony got under way on Monday, Mr Trump said: "On behalf of our nation, I want to apologise to Brett and the entire Kavanaugh family for the terrible pain and suffering you have been forced to endure."

And he decried a "campaign of political and personal destruction based on lies and deception", adding that "under historic scrutiny", he had been "proven innocent".

And now BK goes and hires the first team of all female law clerks in the Supreme Court.Grin

Looney Left take on this...
Way to Go for a gang rapist,, sexual predator. Get me my Beer wenches.

Conservative Right take on this...
Family man Judge Kavanaugh has promoted more female attorneys in his career than any other.
And keeps his promise to hire more female staff if nominated to SC.
