What a lovely post, KAMIKAZEE
![]() It is so rare on here for a chit chatter to even talk about their wife or partner let alone praise her. Totally agree about the firemen situation, I know what sex I would like to rescue me from a burning building. |
By:
I'm sure if you were in a building burning you would be happy to see any sex from the the fire service coming to rescue you tbf.
Thread has really got a bit pathetic now.. |
By:
BBC and The luvvies would prefer to see Men with or Without the Schlonger dressed as women ..
By:
If it was female fireperson coming to rescue a man , most men would be looking to carry he female out of the building, that's how stupid the policy is.

Any female in the fire service entering a building on fire to rescue people will be trained to the max to do so
or they wouldn't send them in in the first place. It's a ludicrous analogy. |
By:
It is perfectly understandable and I suspect many men would endorse that just because you dont have the intelligence or understanding to grasp that.
By:
firefighting is not merely about strength, its about being able to look at situations logically and practically and quickly and with a certain type of intelligence
men are better suited to that also |
By:
I have reservations about how well the London fireservicefulfilled their duties in the Grenfell tower disaster, but that's something that we may never know
By:
that's a separate issue, although it may be related in that people refuse to see that some people are naturally suited to certain work
and no amount of training can change that |

The_KAMIKAZEE_DRINKING_MACHINE 03 Feb 18 13:47
It's alarming the way women are being pushed into jobs they're not suited to. In NSW one test for a Fireman was to lug a 90kg dummy 20 metres. So many female applicants failed that they changed the test to dragging the mannequin 30kg for 10 metres. Who the fxck weighs 30kg? If they can't do the job then so be it. Find a job doing something else. jamesdean may think they have a machine to do this kind of thing. |

I take it these fine young women are also receiving severe condemnation, and will have to find another pastime?

I actually think those pics are pretty crude and demeaning. Far too many arses.. Makes the Darts and F1 girls look elegant and demure.

By:
All the hereos again. I'd take 1.01 that if any of you were in a building on fire you wouldn't be waiting
for a mans help if a woman from the fire service was first on the scene to rescue you. And I'll say it one more time for treetop and saddo, the fire service would not have their women employees in that position if they were not capable of the job. No doubt treetop does not have the intelligence to 'grasp that' |
By:
not talking about firefighters but imo theres deffo firms out there giving women jobs because they want to be seen as a modern company and not because their the best person for the job or can do the job, theres 20 every Saturday afternoon reporting on football for sky and the bbc for starters
By:
I must admit that I do not like female commentators, they are just not as good as the men.

"I'm sure if you were in a building burning you would be happy to see any sex from the the fire service coming to rescue you tbf."
I'm fairly sure the test is designed to see if someone can remove an unconscious person from a burning building so you probably wouldn't know if you were being rescued or not. |
By:
I'd rather be rescued by lady firefighters. please feel free to send them round. I'm not sexist, well I am but in favour of the women. Grid girl power!

That's right because every single person rescued from a building burning will be unconscious by the time the fire brigade get there. Seriously, the thread just gets worse. |
By:
The test is to carry a 90kg dummy 20 metres. What do you think is the purpose of the test?
By:
To see if they can carry a body weighing 90kg, conscious or unconscious.
By:
Whew! I was getting worried there.
By:
They need to look at removing inappropriately dressed women from adverts and also review things like the Diet Coke adverts.
The whole concept of 'sex sells' needs to be changed. Anything that objectifies anyone should be banned. |
