Parents (or in this case an uncle) that spread material of small children online that they know can potentially come back to haunt or embarass these children later in life are massive, irresponsible arseholes.
|
|
By:
nowadays people show off about these things in order to appear more liberal
Hamilton doesn't think it's anything to be ashamed or worried about otherwise he wouldnt have shared it Mothers , even fathers have to pretend it's ok if their sons are gay and heaven help them should they say differently It's all a load of sh1te |
|
By:
I prefer the old ways when people were a little concerned , but not very much
That is healthier and less selfish on the parents behalf It's wasn't a question of ' me too ' |

I remember reading in an Akan Bennett story about a friend who had been badly burned
His face was bandaged and when he walked out on the streets of Leeds people were so well behaved that they would not even look at him That admittedly was some decades ago |

So to summarise for anyone who doesn't understand
Hamilton is not worried about his young nephew wearing a dress , he is not worried about sharing the photo because he knows no one else is worried either , those making a fuss about Hamiltons remarks should shut up , no ones impressed by their outrage silly things no one cares |
|
By:
"those making a fuss about Hamiltons remarks should shut up" - Why, are they not allowed to voice their opinions, i thought this is what freedom of speech is all about.
"no one cares" - but didn't Hamilton himself apologise and say that it is not appropriate. It seems like at least one person cares. "Hamilton is not worried about his young nephew wearing a dress" - it's not about if Hamilton is worried though. "Mothers , even fathers have to pretend it's ok if their sons are gay and heaven help them should they say differently " - they would just be labelled homophobic if they weren't ok, exactly the same as if they had those views about people being gay and didn't have children. By the way why did you say even fathers and not just "Mothers and fathers" |
|
By:
" I thought this is what freedom of speech is all about "
Yes , that is why I said they should shut up " no one cares " just because Hamilton apologised doesn't mean anyone cares , fo you , no ? Then what are you talking about silly boy "Hamilton is not worried about his young nephew wearing a dress" yes and this statement is not about the nephew it's about Hamilton who you in your stupidity don't understand , that's why you are getting angry Mothers and fathers in the main want their children to be married and have children This means imo if they are gay they shouldn't be allowed to get married and have children especially if they are men imo You may disagree , I don't care and neither do other parents have to care about your silly ideas Why did I say even fathers ? Because mothers in general are more forgiving of their sons in these matters, it has nothing to do with anything else so stop trying to read things and then misrepresenting them There is no point reading words if you don't understand words |
|
By:
look at it this way , if Hamilton really thought it was any big deal , or anything to be ashamed or worried about does anyone think he would have been of a mind to share it and embarrass his young nephew who he loves or the family and himself or anything of that kind
Now that wouldn't seem to make much sense to me , I don't know |
|
By:
Should the young boy be wearing a dress on Christmas morning ?
No, because the parents shouldn't have bought him the dress That is no way to celebrate the birth of Christ Do you know that some children are so poor they know that if they ask for something on Christmas the answer is always the same So they don't ask . |
|
By:
you see it's not about the young boy , young boys are silly and mischievous like that that's nice and how it should be
It's the parents , they bought the dress , perhaps wanted to buy it , encouraged it , I don't know it makes me suspicious when people are like that I don't know why |
|
By:
I'm not sure why you think I am getting angry, i simply posted where I disagreed with you.
I find that when people get angry with someone they tend to try and be hurtful towards them and so insult them. I think that they don't like how they are feeling and so want the other person to feel it as well. They blame the other person for making them feel that way rather than taking responsibility for it themselves. I showed and continue to show no malice towards you, I just disagree with what you are saying. You referred to me as a "silly boy", referred to my stupidity, referred to my silly ideas and mentioned that i don't seem to be understanding what I am reading. This is my take, Hamilton does care about what he did, because he is a brand and is worried about his sponsor deals. His sponsors care because they realise that people will care enough that there may well be a significant drop in sales in the products that are associated with him. This implies that people do care as they would be prepared to change their actions based on what he did. So I think the statement "No one cares" is not actually correct. I personally don't agree about the parents views on children. I think in the whole parents just want their children to be happy but I can't prove that. Again I never really thought that mothers are more forgiving of their sons that fathers, but if you do think that then that would explain the use of the word "even". I hope you're not getting too angry lfc1971 it really not a helpful emotion. |
|
By:
Ah , I never said you were angry at me . But you were angry at Hamilton I suppose I could be wrong
|
|
By:
So once again there is another example of how you didn't understand what you were reading
Can you understand that ? anythings possible , I read it somewhere |
|
By:
In regard to my statement ' no one cares ' I meant that in general no one thinks it is a very big deal that the buy is wearing the dress , and Hamilton himself doesn't greatly think so otherwise he wouldn't have posted it
The statement no one cares referred to this and has nothing to do whether Hamilton cares about his sales , I'm sure like anyone sensible he does Now I can't be bothered to go over every misleading take you have on everything that is said |
|
By:
I'm still not really sure why you think i'm angry, I never said I was nor am I. My only guess is that you are trying to provoke me into anger. If you are then I would recommend not bothering as you could probably use this energy in a more constructive manner.
|
|
By:
That's all good , if you are not getting angry at Hamilton , or myself which of course I never believed anyway , why should you ?
And then of course you will see that I was not getting angry with you That seems fair , to me that sounds like a good arrangement |

I've never liked Lewis Hamilton, but he's just went up in my estimation slightly. Just a shame he caved in to the loons and is now backtracking.
The only thing he's done wrong is post personal/family stuff on social media - but that is the celebrity illness, they just can't help themselves. ![]() As for the loons and their fake outrage. LOL Did you notice that altho the BBC are all over this "story", they have NOT opened up the HYS (Have Your Say) comments. Wonder why eh? ![]() |

It is all about small interest groups getting their way. Read between the lines as we say. Any one who does not agree is to be insulted and accused of hate crime etc. The incidents involving one particular interest group who directed abuse at amir khan and mo farrah were completely ignored by the guardian who then were all over this pink dress incident. PATHETIC one eyed reporting but you know how biased that paper is. They have already surrendered to the noisy minority and actually promote it. Not a newspaper, more a propaganda sheet. It is the future - your future.

We dont have freedom of speech and probably never did. Hamilton has been forced to apologise for gender shaming....

those platforms are reserved for the small cliques and the pro eu lobby forget anything to do with islam - that is a no go for starters unless it is about baking |

Little chance of debate (or even raising issues) on any of the main tv channels

It doesn't change the numbers moisok, when people have heard enough from the snowflakes they will say so. What gets discussed on Newsnight, C4 news etc has no bearing on what real people think.

exactly.
a quick glance on some of the comments posted on some BBC stories reveals that the majority are still not onboard with their spoon-fed views. Its why less and less are now open for comments, and why the Guardian never has been ![]() |

Probably right saddo. I mean less and less are watching BBC shows as a result of their box ticking.

I can see your points of course. But. They have the grasp of the whole narrative. Almost whatever it is. You name it. And it simply DOES NOT get discussed on any of the main tv channels. SKY OR BBC. The editors control what is put out and they don't want open debates.
If you want to see debates go to aljazeera. Take yemen as an example - they get three on to discuss all different sides to the story. You rarely see any balance on our main channels and when you do it is shouty shouty, as the hidden bias tries to silence any one expressing concern. Even the interviewers interrupt whenever they can. |

Maybe if he had used up some of his allotted time he can spend in the UK & came over to visit his family for xmas he would not be video calling in the first place, but I have no sympathy for anyone who wants to tell the world all their business in the first place.

I was following a story today about something which broke in the papers after I thought it would.
Fewer than 20 people complained on social media but it still made it to the papers. Do not underestimate the eagerness with which news organisations mine twitter and facebook for stories. Notwithstanding Lewis Hamilton is an immense bellend, and certainly shouldn't have been posting videos of his nephew in a dress on his social media accounts. fwiw i don't think you should be criticising a four or five year old child for wearing a dress, but you're entitled to think what you like. We should probably stop to think about how accepting society is of tomboys or young girls dressing up as cowboys. |
