All the time people are talking even shouting, they're not fighting, nobody is talking to them, there is no leadership, or joined up thinking as usual.

Has anybody heard why helicopters were not used ?
By:
Looks they are trying to make this politcial. Are momentum involved? Signs saying Tories have blood on their hands.

nobody talking to them
Is that actually true? People have been put in hotels. The target is to get people housed locally within 3 weeks. All costs covered and so on. Someone must have spoken to people to get them into hotels? |
By:
I'm guessing a super heated updraught would scupper a helicopter, leopard.
By:
saddo helicopters would have fanned the flames with the 'downdraft' and accelerated an already fast moving inferno.

Still defending the Imperialist Establishment IT
By:
IT, they are getting the info peacemeal, it requires proper information fed to one source in direct contact with them and their 'appointed leaders'.
By:
Like us all I've thought about if I was in that and got out..
If my family didn't make it I would feel guilt and grief. If my family were safe I would feel IMMENSE relief. It would be incredible to survive that inferno.. The last thing on my mind would be anger or a desire to protest. I'd also want to live anywhere but near that corpse of a building. I would take my family anywhere but Kensington. |

What could really be gained by any senior figure standing in front of that baying mob. They gave Khan a bad time and they like him.

Inquest needed.
This should be treated as an emergency. Leaving it to the cops and fire brigade not enough. Although I think and I hope, police will be knocking on doors, just like they have in the other terror incidents. |

Injera were outside looking in, I can't begin to put myself in the shoes of somebody who has lost loved ones.
By:
fox, people are complaining about the numbers of dead being given. How do they expect there to be list of everyone in the building at the time? People are not chipped.
There were places to go the day it happened to report. People got food and clothing and hotels. I am not sure what else people expect. |
By:
Wouldn't you just be numb foxy? I wouldn't have the energy to get angry.
By:
Deffo Inquest best all round.

This is the forgotten and little people IT i thought you were on their side ?

I'm sure lots of councils across the country will offer some of them temporary homes, would they want to move away?
By:
What do think the victims should be given they have not been given?
£5m is alot of cash. It was social and private housing. |
By:
May has promised a £5m emergency fund. Much better than a silly PR walkabout.
By:
Well its working whatever it is
Apparently May was bundled away and left through side exit Then goes away and offers some money Thats not exactly pro active, acting when you s hit yourself |
By:
Re inquest. I'm guessing they will all have to be held at the same time, which means knowing how many dead, and who they are. Individual ones opened and adjourned in the meantime?
By:
Course it is spiv money solves everything
By:
IT, they're looking for answers that are not possible to give on the victims, so explanations on the procedures would be a great help, it's common sense to you and me we're not grief stricken.
Injera, I don't know how I would feel, thankfully I don't have to. I'm not judging comments on here just adding mine to conversation/debate. |
By:
They will soon have enough money to move to Chipping Sodbury.
By:
Anxious what do you want to happen? You think no money should have been put up to help people?
By:
Those interviews on Sky did not seem to be from residents.

IT i thought you were on the side of the Forgotten and Little People ?
By:
Goodness knows youve waffled on about it enough

I have no idea how any one could nit pick over this.
People have been killed with incompetence, ignorance, gentrification and greed. Like the black geezer - the cops should be out arresting all and sundry. Taken in for questioning at least. The guy is right because the companies and council etc will and have been having their little chats to cover their backs. One problem is how involved the tory government is in all this with all the past warnings from 2008. I see a huge big bucket of whitewash being tipped over this. |

My mother was the victim of hospital malpractice. As a family we had no energy to fight, we'd just lost mum.
At the inquest we made it clear that we wanted no retribution as the overrall level of care was superb. It was a one off mistake. Sadly this doesn't look like a one off. It appears many high rise blocks have similar fire risks.. |
By:
what do you want anxious? aside from whoever is responsible being held to account. All the residents who reported to the council have been put up in hotels, given money for day to day expenses, a promise that they will be rehoused locally asap. An accurate count of the dead cannot be done at the moment for safety reasons but would expect a final count soon, nobody knows who was in the building at the time, people so badly burned they cannot immediatly be identified and the mob blaming the council for this.
I can understand anger but the loud mouths shouting will achieve nothing. |
By:
The people in question believe there has been an agenda well before the fire to rid them of the area.
Then they lose family, dont get info, lose everything and possibly get offered somewhere out of London that fits into the belief that this is what the authorities wanted. You not going to get mad? |
By:
Exacatly moisok, that were a lot of anger is coming from.

By:
Do they want them out of the area for financial reasons, dusty? They seem to collect plenty of rent as it is at 1400 a pop.

MAY deep digging the hole bigger and bigger shes useless

Foxu - I HAD calmed down with my present by my side, but now fuelling up again to burst - it is so fkn pathetic this situation.
No one wants to own any of this.!! Couldn't council representatives come out and explain they were trying as hard as they can to help. Instead - silence. That is why they are so angry I know - let's call a general election - imagine!!! |

They seen as the wrong type, theres always demand saddo
