It's my understanding thanks to the Muslim faith more people's lives were saved as they were up in the early hours celebrating a meal.

This is on the same lines as Police cuts, Social care cuts , Community care cuts etc , its all from the same Ideology

So budget cuts caused the fire? wtf?! Crazy

I could list many cases of landlords (housing associations) who do not invest and protect their residents. For most, 'managing' a property is a cash cow: do little , collect a lot.

That aint political. It's utter, utter incompetence and downright derliction of duty.

If this housing company/association is anything like many others, most of their housing officers wouldn't even have visited GT. They sit in theor offices writing out generic letters full of bullsh*t.

it is

you should read accounts of work load for those who carry out checks etc

how it has grown or people just skimming work checks etc

privatisation

long chains of command

going for the cheapest company
and then contracting out to another contractor
who contracts out  and it goes on

it makes you mad

just watching barwell as I watched him this morning

why couldn't he have stopped and spoken about the issue instead of walking away

I would say this is the tory way over this

to walk away - push it at arms length

High rise council estates have always in my experience been sh1tholes, a sixties experiment that should of been left in the past. As I said last night I lived on one in Acton Town it's the block of flats at the start of Only fools and horses, Labour had not long lost control of the government and the Tories had taken over, both parties as bad as each other imo Mischief

....

What have those issues got to do with a building being wrapped in materials to reduce its carbon footprint? The media are trying to whip this up. Disgraceful given how they were putting mics and cameras in front of grieving families faces.
