A lot of insurgent types will be using this to their advantage and mobilising the mob.

I don't get this protest. What exactly can it achieve?
The crowd were chanting 'not 17!' They demanded an exact figure on those dead. ![]() The building is barely safe to enter let alone carry out a thorough search. Very little chance of coming up with the right figure. They also want to know the exact number of those who lived there... We've heard there qwere large families, visitors, boyfriends/girlfriends staying over. Do they really think the council would have these figures at hand??? Oh and they demand to be housed very close by. Sorry but that's just wrong. You should be housed where there's space. Simples. |
By:
And to think same people are having ago at the PM for not walking into this charging the situation up more.
By:
Its not 17......its 30 and will be raised later
By:
Sky saying 70 so far. It will be more. Horrible.
By:
some people have lost everything injera and it looks like the council arent doing a lot to help. sadly, there are likely to be people attaching themselves who want to cause trouble.

T.May will be down the bingo ffs

Most of this mob are from countries where it is de rigueur to drag council officials outside and hang them from lamp posts in such events.
By:
dustybin it is quite ridiculous to send her in to this kind of place.
By:
I doubt we'll ever know an exact number, quite possibly people there who are not on record.
By:
Islam getting a good airing.
By:
"If they're not guilty why are they hiding" Probably because there's a baying mob outside wanting blood.

dustybin it is quite ridiculous to send her in to this kind of place. So the officials hide behind the police when the s hit hits the fan? Not only do the politicians decide on our behalf but these ones cut the Police who then they hide behind |

This from the Council's website:
The Council is helping those affected and in need of emergency accommodation. It is also giving financial assistance to cover their immediate needs. All residents of Grenfell Tower who have requested help have been placed in hotels. We are now looking to source interim accommodation for those Grenfell Tower residents and also trying to assist, where possible, elderly and vulnerable residents from surrounding areas who have been unable to return to their homes due to the safety cordon. |
By:
dustybin are you seriously now blaming 'cuts' for this?
£80,000 was spent per flat on the refurb. It is not a money issue. |
By:
some of the people on councils are more dodgy then del boy police should check there bank accounts and holiday homes and where they got there cars
By:
Im asking who is going to sate the mob?
When its the officials who hide in their holes when it all comes back. I was saying she and her ilk cut the police force and now expect em to tide up |
By:
This whole situation has been dreadfully mismanaged from the get go, too any running and hiding and asscovering.
By:
i'm no fan of may but what difference does her turning up actually do?
the local council should be there 24/7 after something like this and they seem absent. |
By:
I don't blame these people imagine if one of your family members being one of the missing? Being told what looks like a jobsworth/inept fire chief saying it will take weeks?! Are these firefighters used to just putting out bin fires or something? its concrete, won't collapse. Get in there, gets the corpses out and get them identified FFS.
By:
They can't expect some suit to come out of the office, hold their hands and say 'yup it was our fault'.
There's a procedure to follow. |
By:
Theres a number of cardboard cut outs who SHOULD be there or seen to be doing things and arnt.
These people are emotional and its only going to get worse, the whole thing stinks, adding to their agenda with c rap info and no shows is adding fuel to flames |
By:
Plenty of police there just playing it soft to not make things worse.
By:
jollyswagman , she is the PRIME MINISTER, with that job comes responsibility and leadership, she is simply not up to the job, and nobody else has taken up the mantle or perhaps been allowed to, What a useless shower.
By:
You can see why May dodged this and I hate her, she would have been lynched.
By:
It would serve no purpose. Just dangerous with rent a mob.
By:
Guys not today, yesterday is when she should have done her job properly.
We just don't have any 'Statesman' like politicians anymore. Just posh boys and career politicians in the main, there are exceptions but they are in the minority or opposition. |
By:
The whole thing is a circus of media and the mob.
By:
foxy use been PM'd sorry for the ramble but didn't want to put it on here
By:
OK mate.
By:
The PM has given them £5,000,000 and lots of other things. She has visited the victims. What are people complaining at? That she didnt walk into the mob?
By:
By:
They're angry because nobody will take responsibility and answer questions, that's what is causing the problems, and rentamob will jump on the bandwagon and stir things up.

Insider
She has acted like they have the plague ffs An inconvienience, a hassle, she looks to all observers to be doing the least possible, so imagine what it looks like to the families. But there wasnt a case about May imparticular, just all those in authority both for why this happened and what they believe to be shoddy treatment after. |

Can anyone remember a tower block fire as bad as this one was, in the western world
most haunting image is the people in the top floor switching their lights on and off on and off repeatedly to let people know they were there and trapped ![]() |
