All this division about people in power not caring about the poor the government wouldn't be giving 0.7 % of our GDP to other far flung parts of the world. Yet again maybe this has to be looked at so that OUR citizens and those entitled to reside here have a better standard of living..........or at least a fu cking sprinkler system

As regards the poor it's all relative I suppose, I used to work on the tracks at night on the underground. If we had an early shoot and the trains weren't running I used to drop a Rastafarian lad off on White city estate, at the time and I'm going back a bit we were on £23,000 a year. Is he poor compared to someone in a North African country ?

I've heard people in council flats being described as poor. Really! these days you are very lucky if you get a council property. The real poor these days live in B&B temporary accom or houses of multiple occupation not daring to complain about the conditions in case the landlord kicks them out.

from what i have seen and heard they have been largely absent from the scene
and when they appeared they blamed the tenants so how does that work for me it is basically tory indifference and they are right. once they get rid of this rabble they can knock down the tower and build some really nice 5 million a piece flats for the chinese |

When my old man was a greyhound trainer at White City there was many a night I'd walk back to Acton Town without a problem, think I had a bottle thrown at me once but that's about it. Things may of moved on but in general the streets of this country ain't to bad.........mind you I now live on the mean streets of Sussex and am indoors for Corrie every night
