And what do they match that against?

Fact is, they went out on the p1ss and left 3 children alone Ps, who was on the royal yacht Britannia which was stationed nearby? Eventually, someone will get it The Royal yacht Britannia was taken out of service in 1997. It has been berthed at the Ocean terminal in Leith ever since. |

Fact is, they went out on the p1ss and left 3 children alone (repeatedly)
which in itself is evidence of abduction |

Thats what they are prepared to accept to get away with something else possible.

Sibling or parents how hard can it be if you have 5 people with associated dna profiles. Not rocket science mate.

Explain it to me then. How do you know whose DNA is whose? do you just guess? |

If you take a swab fro gerry then thats his dna If you take a swab from kate then i think that will be her dna If you take a swab from twin 1 then thats their dna If you take a swab from twin 2 then thats their dna. Any dna left with similar profile must be ? |

Any dna left with similar profile must be ? So Madieliene is missing and to get her DNA you take it from her toothbrush in the UK? and that's her DNA?Any other DNA left is nonsense with a similar profile. Were there DNA taken? |
|
By:
No that would not be the best source. Where did you get that from?
|
|
By:
So what are you saying if none of there DNA was taken?
|
|
By:
I still saying there was none of her dna in tbe apartment except for the part match which is not possible for someone whohas been living in that room for days
Good night |

'.......Looks like this is rife in portugal.....' And yet the parents left 3 children alone in an apartment, whilst they went dining with friends. Why ? |
|
By:
Bad parenting...but nobody is contesting that.
Kate was screaming we've let her down' in the immediate aftermath. Ok, they haven't self flagellated in the media, but they clearly do openly regret their Parenting actions, whilst trying to justify in, part, understandably, why they made the decision they did. I think the conversation has long moved on from questioning their poor Parenting decisions. I haven't heard anyone denying this, though several admit they have done likewise themselves. |

does anyone know if that file claiming to be from the PJ was genuine?
did they really delete their phone records? |

According to USA Today there were 450 cases of parents killing their children. Over the same period in a separate study in the UK there were 614 non parental child abduction attempts. The USA has 5 times the population of the UK and its murder rate is 4 times that of the UK. Further studies show that the "at risk" demographics of parents who kill their children are those with mental illness, teenagers, have convictions for violent offences, and went on to commit suicide. the data is p(accidental death) + p(accidental death due to negligence)+ p(manslaughter) + p(murder) vs a p(stranger breaking into a apartment they believed to be locked and escaping with one child whilst not waking the other two without being detected). |

From the files http://www.mccannpjfiles.co.uk/PJ/DELETED_CALLS.htm hth |

By:
DStyle you are putting conditions on one side but not on the other. If you want to go down that route the probability that the parents killed them negligently or otherwise.
p(accidental death covered up as an abduction and not solved in first 10 years)+p(parental manslaughter or murder not solved in first 10 years) vs p(similar fate to Ben Needham)+p(abduction not solved in first 10 years) is appropriate, bearing in mind the parents do not fit any of the at risk categories of offspring killers. I'm not aware of any case like this ..... p(accidental death covered up by parents as an abduction and not solved in first 10 years) I'm aware of two cases like this from the last 2 years ..... p(abduction not solved in first 10 years) |

the link says the following: OFFICIAL INQUIRY FILES and DOCUMENTS MCCANNS DELETED MOBILE CALLS This information belongs to the Ministério Público in Portimão, Portugal. It was released to the public on 4 August 2008 in accordance with Portuguese Law assuming that is accurate, and there seems no reason to question it then surely with everything else there is only 1 logical conclusion? |

If you have time the pj files are a most interesting read (if you are a sad basturd like me) |
|
By:
We went through this earlier on the thread, Burt.
The case files are not great in this aspect of the case....and difficult to navigate..answers to questions posed/not posed seem incomplete, unfrtunately. Some of the recent call records were deleted, though not quite all. That said, we know what calls were made from records from the phone company anyway, and they do not appear to advance any theory one jot. Just another bizzare aspect of the case. The opening post here seems a fair summary: http://miscarriageofjustice.co/index.php?topic=1267.0 |

Apparently Goncalo Amaral is putting the finishing touches to a sequel to The Truth of the Lie, though he's been warned against trying to publish it in the UK!

Just read the Sun report on this, apparently (according to a "close friend") the McCanns are being bombarded with big money offers to do an exclusive interview on the 10th anniversary of the disappearance, especially from the American networks:

I found Peter Hyatt's analysis of the interviews with the McCannes fascinating. And his conclusions, persuasive.

Watched it last night, quite interesting. Initially, I wondered if his analytical techniques were as relevant given it was four years on and perhaps it could be argued using the past tense and the 'story telling' given the time lapse may seem more acceptable, but as the discussion went on I stopped thinking that.
Btw, the McCanns are back in the news, not happy with the Shannon Matthews drama last night! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4203712/Madeleine-McCann-s -parents-blast-Shannon-Matthews-drama.html |

it was full of suppositions, reading things into their wordings/ways of expressing themselves the way he wants to, yet again it didn't prove anything and had no substance.
Also thought it was quite low of him to suggest they would want to get rid of the body to cover up signs of sexual abuse, when neither of them have any recorded history of any such act, more guesswork based on nothing. |

More bad news for the McCanns, as Portuguese judges say that the archiving of the case does not necessarily prove their innocence.

Worth a listen this if you haven't heard it before, it's South African Stephen Birch discussing the possibility that Madeline may be buried on the property belonging to Robert Murat's mother, and other points about statements that were allegedly withheld from the public, and the claim that DNA evidence was planted in the McCann's hire car.
Also, Kate McCann refusing to give any credibility to Birch's theory about where Madeline may be buried, which some may find surprising given we're talking about someone in Robert Murat who at one point was a suspect, and the property being in close proximity to 5a. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQcjm4un9gs |

Apparently Birch had spent over 100,000 euros of his own money on the scanning equipment.
