Thanks, M_D. As mentioned earlier, it's gouache over watercolour on the face which looks a bit chalkier than it really is on camera. The background is watercolour which is more transparent. The spotlights represent the three primary colours in gouache. I should have made the hair taller on top of the head as it's only just about in proportion and KB used to have it fluffed up as I remember. I can still rectify that on the original. It's usually when you take a critical, detached look afterwards that you notice these things.

Nice effort, Joe.

I'm not normally one for modern art, but I like the directness and simplicity.

It says to me....something always goes before..and something always goes after

...sort of sums up human life..

Thanks for your kind comments. The extra hair was added electronically using "Paint" but I'm going to add some for real when I can get around to refilling my water pot with clean water.

So you have made the jump into the 21st century with this, your NEO-SYNTHETIC plasticization...dare we call it...art...?? ExcitedCoolCryWhoops

Sad

Crags will be printing it off as we speak in order to hang it at the end of his bed where he can dream about her to his heart's content. He won't care about plasticization when he gazes ecstatically on the wonders of the Bush.

"We take Gotham from the corrupt! The rich! The oppressors of generations who have kept you down with myths of opportunity, and we give it back to you, the people," Bane said.

the comics - always ahead of the curve. Created the multiverse in wonder woman comics 1952?

DC comics were always super weird.

Hi Vel, you mentioned Liotard on the Jesus thread yesterday.
I agree with you that he was an excellent pastel artist, possibly the best technically. The nature of his work, though, portrait commissions from Nobility and the mega-rich, meant that his work lacks originality and new ways of looking at things. I haven't actually seen any of his paintings in galleries as far as I know, are they mainly in private collections?
