We must part ways here, I have seen beliefs used and abused, by being thrown into various arenas, music being the most evocative, in order to exploit/extract maximum effective, the thing I love about religion, is the purpose/comfort it gives people including my own late  Mother. GN, I'm offfski, Really enjoyed our chat.

not into religions. the bible is about truth. That opens it to criticism because murder is in it's pages. Sins of all descriptions are on every page. If there is purpose/comfort in it. It's in God's plan to fix his relationship between Man and Himself. Disposing of the curse of death brought about by Satan.
Everyone is an immortal creation. Why didn't god destroy Satan? after all the evil done. Maybe when you have a soul you cannot be destroyed? I'm not sure about this, but there are numerous references to being bound, imprisoned and thrown into a lake of fire for the angels. Never Destruction. Exile to other planes seems to be the only recourse.
Spend your eternity with God or some place else.

OP

you write utter bllux my friend LaughLaughLaugh

Center of Monotheism

Jerusalem is known as the land of many prophets, peace be upon them all. Muslims revere all of the "Biblical" prophets, such as Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, and Jesus - peace be upon them all. They all taught the Oneness of God.
First Qiblah for Muslims

Jerusalem was the first Qiblah for Muslims - the place toward which Muslims turn in prayer. It was many years into the Islamic mission (16 months after the Hijrah), that Muhammad (peace be upon him) was instructed to change the Qibla from Jerusalem to Mecca (Qur'an 2:142-144)

Why would i read the sequel? I have the original.

Abrahamic covenant gives the land to Abraham's ancestors for eternity. If you respect the prophets so much, stop tinkering with the original words. Stop trying to oust Israel.

I could lift a copy of the old testament, change details and places to suit my own ends. To justify my actions. It might retain some of the holiness of the original book but it is not the original book. It's false.

669 mentions in the bible - it's revered because they are God's people. Live with it. Get over it. He has favoured the jews. But everyone else is invited too, thru jesus.

your OP- read it- read what you wrote - if you'r just trying to get a reaction- well fine - but try to be a little more entertaining: the Q'ran mentions jeruslem many times; it teaches that Allah gave the land to the jews and will return it to them at the end of days; the Q'ran IS mostly the shared books of the Christian  Bible - I do not know enough to comment on whether Judaism uses the same source - tho I think the Torah is based on the scrolls of Abraham - but I digress...

you ask

'how many times does the word Jerusalem appear in the q'ran etc'

you seem to think its 'zero'

Why have you written that? I don't think you know anything about the middle east history - stop posting so much and do some reading!

theres a good lad Cool

that's certainly an answer

the more recent research suggests it was not

however- why do you write that Jeru  Salaam  is not written in the Q'ran?- have a deco at this from the more mainstream / representative moderate Muslim clerics

JERUSALEM IN THE QUR'AN

The most common argument against Muslim acknowledgment of Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem is that, since al-Quds [Jerusalem] (4) is a Holy Place for Muslims, Muslims cannot accept that it is ruled by non-Muslims, because such acceptance amounts to a betrayal of Islam.

Before expressing our point of view on this question, we must reflect upon the reason for which Jerusalem and Masjid al-Aqsa [the Al Aksa mosque] hold such a sacred position in Islamic faith.

As is well known, the inclusion of Jerusalem among Islamic holy places derives from al-Mi'raj, the Ascension of the Prophet Muhammed to heaven. The Ascension began at the Rock, usually identified by Muslim scholars as the Foundation Stone of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem referred to in Jewish sources.

Recalling this link requires us to admit that there is no connection between al-Miraj [the Ascension] and Muslim sovereign rights over Jerusalem since, in the time that al-Miraj took place, the City was not under Islamic, but under Byzantine administration. Moreover, the Qur'an expressly recognizes that Jerusalem plays for Jews the same role that Mecca does for Muslims.

tried not to delay. Josephus was a jew that became a roman citizen. He mentions Jesus. He wrote extensively about the romans and their expulsion of tthe jews from the holy land.

If you were born in the year 600AD. you could read the bible in entirety. There was no bogus texts. You could read about all the prophets then. The JEWS laughed at the pagan tribes without a god. They had no imagination so just co-opted the jewish books and made it their own. For 600 years there were no muslims. Abraham was dead 2000 years before the Arabs tuned in.

Muhammid was dead ten years before Omar entered Jerusalem. You planted the horror on their temple and desecrated their holy land.

- Truly, god loves those who fight

- Fight and slay the pagans wherever you find them,
and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for
  them in every stratagem.

- Chop off their hands and chop off their fingertips

- When you meet the unbelievers, chop off their heads

- Fight and slay those who don't convert wherever you find them

- Believers, take neither Jew nor Christians for your friends

- Those who follow Muhammad are ruthless to unbelievers

- Those who reject Islam are "the vilest of creatures" and thus deserve no mercy

- Fight them until Islam reigns supreme (throughout the world)

There are more than 100 verses in the Qur'an (Koran) advocating the use of violence to spread Islam.  There are exactly 123 verses in the Qur'an about killing and fighting.

The word "Islam" has been falsely proclaimed by Muslims to mean peace. The word Islam, actually means "submission" to the Muslim god of intolerance and hatred. It comes from the root Arabic word "taslim". In Arabic, the word for peace is only "solh".

Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed HIS SEAL OF APPROVAL." John 6:27

This is reiterated elsewhere by the Lord:

"I have testimony weightier than that of John. For the very work that the Father has given me to finish, and which I am doing, testifies that the Father has sent me. And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form, nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent." John 5:36-38

the Lord Jesus clearly stated that false prophets would come to deceive many

a seal of approval - you put a seal on a finished document.

his last words on the cross.... it is done.

look at the page - counterfeit dollars to sell you as you've bought the counterfeit argument.

Jesus said - the god's work was finished by him, sealed. done. anyone after him claiming to be a prophet is bogus - Satan masquerading as Gabriel.

here is a muslim scholar's book about 'Jerusalem in the Q'ran' If you read the whole page it does indeed say - here you go! The Quran doesn't mention Jerusalem because it is too darn holy! - nice,

it's an explanation that excuses their complete distain for the place. In the past.

I didn't mention My wife because she's so precious to me. (complete bull).

What other lands were not mentioned that are holy to the Muslims? Can i have a list upfront. In case I step on yer fat toes.

There's a film from 1986 - called TROLL. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092115/

it is a film about a boy called Harry Potter jr. He goes to a new apartment and he encounters a magical world of evil and good magical beings.

When growing up I saw many BBC productions of children's books.
children of the stones, rentaghost, sky, ace of wands, tomorrow people, the sand fairy, The Witches and The Grinnygog, the phoenix and the carpet, the lion the witch and the wardrobe. Even Diana Rigg playing a witch school teacher in the worst witch 1986.

where did the writer of Harry Potter series get all those magical ideas?
she at least writes her own material. First book 1997.

JESUS the prophet said fake prophets would show up after him. Leading the faithful away from God. Was he lying.

He said he was finishing God's work. Was he lying. He fulfilled all the scriptural prophecies of the old testament.

Your Guy just killed a bunch of his neighbours, and made up arbitrary rules to keep people in check.

Stole Deuteronomy 18:18

i will send them a prophet like you, from among their own people.

Moses addressing the jewish tribes. so the prophet has to be jewish. It's jesus.

and the rest is a message against false prophets... obviously God knew false teachers would surface and claim this prophecy was about Muhammid.

use yer noggin - stubborn one - start reading - understand the difference between a peaceful teacher (turn the other cheek, those that live by the sword, die by the sword) and a warlord.
