the prophet Jesus is highly revered by Muslims- appears in the Q'ran 92 times - Muslims believe he was not crucified but that god stepped in and physically took him up to heaven to save him from his planned ordeal; the Q'ran contains some info/stories about Jesus' early life- it says he was of virgin birth- when Mary was scolded publicly for being an inmarried mother she was struck mute/ heard a voice to stay silent and the baby jesus spoke in defence of his virgin mother.
Bizarre eh? and Mohammad was not quite the warlord non russian believes he was- i was told for years that was so but i tend to believe now that he was not what i am still puzzling over is how terrrists can blow themselves and others up - including women and children and civilians- when Mohammad specificaly dictated that this was wrong and forbidden- when he came back to his home city of Mecca to stop his birthplace from worshipping deities (plural ) violance was restricted to soldiers - for the time quite a level of restraint |

Today- the only pure humans are very probably pure blood sub Sahara Africans - Blacks; caucasians are a mixture of **** sapians and the now extinct Neanderthals - a different branch of hominid; we (whites) have up to 3% neanderthal DNA - if you know/ meet someone with red hair, short, squat and freckly - a Barney Rubble type- he/she is probably more neanderthal than most other cucasians. There are at least a dozen different pre-hominid 'strains' which are identified as having died out- including one in China which was tall/strong and may have been able to outsprint Mr bolt |

Imfao you are making the mistake in thinking that Neanderthal man was not as intelligent because he no longer exists, except in parts of our genetic heritage.
The less intelligent can survive and destroy the more peaceful and more intelligent. Only because the world was once large and unpopulated was man able to survive...by getting away from other people. |

This is the dilemma, what is it that makes us human. Was Neanderthal man human? Now if you are saying he was that means we cannot be, if you believe in evolution and genetics.
Perhaps he was partly human, and if so how can everyone today be human? |

If you are puzzling over how people can blow themselves up, including women and children then again you have to look at genetics.
Doctors know there is a very strong connection between genetic faults due to too close family relationships and extreme violent murder. Religion and politics merely enable this. |

It's quite clear to most that God does not exist. He/she/it is as likely as the tooth fairy and father Christmas. We don't need religion to treat others with dignity & respect. We should abolish freedom of religion outside people's homes & have no congregation allowed anywhere either. We should also outlaw contributions to any religious organisation too and demolish all buildings associated with religion. It's quite clear too many pervert their view on some old fictional books & turn it into violence or persecution of others. Perhaps some therapy to release people from this mass brain washing should be in order too.

How could I ? - the fossil record indicates they made tools , lived in hunter gatherer family groups and probably wore clothes/skins - much the same as the early **** Sapiens of the time. Their brain cavities were significantly larger than our pure **** sapian forebears. In Africa- as far as the current fossil record shows - there were no Neanderthals. So - the only place where I made a mistake of claiming/ believing/insinuating that Neanderthals were inferior to pure **** Sapiens is within your head I hope this is clear.? As an aside: I happen to know a chap who has researched this field- he and his colleagues conclude that Neanderthals used much more of their brains to make use of sight and 'thought' differently to HSs |

That will occur with all sexual reproduction and is in fact the secret of evolution. If those mutations did not occur the entire earth would probably still consist of primitive one celled life forms, we started out as. Any mutation which is advantageous to a species is retained, any mutation that is not advantageous will not be retained. This is the basis of evolution, the twin fathers of which are Darwin and Mendel. Still you have interesting ideas at times lfc1971, I must say that. It is just as well Adam found Eve or I doubt we would be either. |

yes Imfao I should have said that the assumption that humans survived and Neanderthals did not because of the greater intelligence of humans may be wrong. You didn`t say that Imfao so apoligies. It is something that doesn't quite ring true that the most intelligent will survive and prosper. I agree ebul that mutations are the secret of evolution. But I don`t agree that all evolution must always be progress. This is why I said that whatever made us human may have happened to someone, a few people, many thousands of years ago. Now this must mean that those people, or some of them may be human, and some of us may not be. And evolution may be going into reverse now as we continue to reproduce and more additional small faults occur in the genetic makeup, away from those first humans. |

we are all 'human'- predominently **** sapiens - read up on the dna bottleneck- something happened way back and man came close to extinction- there were millions of 'us'- then suddenly a very few - search genetic bottleneck etc- possible a supervolcano- perhaps Toba
prior to that- geneticists have been searching for Adam - google it - watch the documentaries- there seems to be proof of one man having hundreds of millions of descendents- all tracked back thr the male gene |

If progress simply means survival then yes evolution and all genetic mutations that aid survival would be progress.

Definition of 'human'
A member of the primate genus ****, especially a member of the species **** sapiens, distinguished from other apes by a large brain and the capacity for speech. If you cannot say what you mean you will never be able to mean what you say. LFC- in this instance , by definition, human has ALL to do with physical properties and , sorry, but you are a little muddled in your thinking/writing. |

your useage of the word 'human' is interesting- you seem to have inventing or are applying a new definition: h omo' or 'human' specificay describes species of great apes- some of which have died out e.g. 'h omo erectus' - h omosapiens - modern man - we stil exist - we are a form of 'human' again if you cannot say what you mean you will never be able to mean what you say if you are saying 'what is it that makes us human'- the answer is , i suspect, very complex inded- and there may well be many valid answers |

No I don`t believe that humans are the same thing as apes, I am curious to know how evolution could bring about the change and over what time period.
What is the genetic difference, what exactly is it. And can it be something that will be lost over time as we reproduce. |

the minimum hourly wage... try aspiring to doing something lofty on that? Laws that constrain your every action... try going against that. Education standards that scrap people if they don't meet the standard(which shifts and becomes redundant every ten years). class system - If you wear your name on a badge your working class, if it's on the office door your middle class and if it's on the building your upper class. Cheap food that mugs you - Carb Coma? Burger/fries with coke. Financial banks that print money that's not linked to anything real. Shutdown the internet coz it's too free? Wars for resources - Oil, minerals and water. All to do with the bible? or other mental religions. |
