All this wasted fury getting on for three decades after she left office. She was like most politicians. She did some good and some bad. Above all she was what we lack these days conviction politician. Give me a Thatcher or a Benn over some of the self serving spineless buffoons in office now. The difference of course is that having a sense of decorum whilst I may hold strong views about the path Benn wanted to take the country I like many was respectful at his passing. The scenes when Thatcher died were shameful.

And just what is it they accuse her of exactly? Ruining British industry? Don't make me laugh. Go and look at the figures relating to our post war industrial decline. British industry was ruined by useless management, intransigent unions and poor political planning. All Thatcher did was turn off the life support for some of the biggest dinosaur industries.

People forget the state of this country when Mrs T came into power.
The Unions were holding us to ransom with strikes every other week and threats to take down governments. Inflation was running riot and we were on the verge of bankruptcy. Streets lined with rubbish, unable to bury our dead and business only able to access power three days a week because of strikes. |

Regarding the upbringing of children ... would it be in our best interests as a country to REMOVE children from homes where a parent has made public declarations of support, perhaps even just online, for Jihadists ? Surely for the children's safety and our own this needs to happen?
