And maybe more importantly still, was 'Women In Love' better than 'Klute' ?  WinkWink

Having watched 'Women In Love' when it first appeared in the cinema, I'd choose to have a go at Jennie Linden, rather than take on the task of introducing Glenda Jackson to my beef lance, who was pregnant throughout filming.

I've never seen 'Klute', although it appears I may have to, purely for  investigative purposes.

I prefer Jennie too, but I'm not wrestling either of you two for her.

Hanoi Jane was never surely sexier than in 'Klute'.

And btw gents, intriguing developments on the Horse Racing forum which I've flagged up on the Politics Forum thread about the two who 'won the debate'.

Let's not forget Anthony Blair was putting himself forward as the President of Europe not so long ago..

And here's what Maggie thought about Europe.

I felt that is was somebody's duty to let the HRF know about him.

So I did.

The "Oxford Don" has now started SEVEN threads now about the bookmaking company that won't take his 50p bets.

Ironic as he's ducked any number of chances to take bets offered by other forumites.

I fear he will have to go into hiding soon, along with the Chester Jester and 4thjulykid.

Nearly a week on and we are still none the wiser as to why Farage should be regarded as "vile" by the Lefty cognoscenti.

It can't be his opposition to mass immigration : Labour's manifesto pledges controlled immigration.

It can't be his opposition to the EU : Tony Benn managed to be simultaneously a Socialist and a Democrat who opposed the supremacy of EU law.

I think we can summarise the Left's position in one handy sentence, probably worth putting on a Labour pledge card of coffee mug :

"Being a Modern Lefty :  Call anyone you like a Racist and never have to explain why".

There are a few on the Politics Forum living that particular dream already.

I wonder what the "working class parents from Lancashire" of that 40s/50s generation would have made of the latest news of The Enrichment of Britain coming from Rochdale. The Enrichment seemingly never stops in those parts, even though no-one asked for it, let alone voted for it.

Never forget one thing about a lefty. If it's a case of their honour or them standing behind their stupidity they will take the latter every time. How many times do you see them making the same idiotic statements and then running for the hills when challenged?

Roughly every 15 minutes or so on the Politics Forum. They even have a Pretendy Oxford Don who gets up at around 04:00 hours specifically to spout garbage.

The toffs made a big mistake introducing the bedroom tax, as big a mistake as the lib dems student fees', two hated taxes/fees that will cost them both, Michael gove was so disliked by teachers they had to shove him out of the limelight into another job to save votes, whatever you say about the left people wont forgive them for that.

People so badly affected by the bedroom tax were unlikely to vote Tory.

Orioles, sorry for late reply, but my afternoon exercise walk will wait for no man, not even your good self.

I honestly don't know who's standing in this constituency, and no-one has come pleading for my highly-valued vote either. CryCryCry

I've just moved back to one of the safest Labour constituencies in the country (elderly Mam2005 being ill and in need of even more support), having previously lived in one of the safest Tory heartlands. Never lived in a marginal. I thus confidently predict that my one vote will not be the decisive one this time around.

Plaid are a total embarrassment btw, never more so than when their Leader recently took part in that excruciating 'group hug' with the other two women after that 2 hour debate recently. Cringe… you can just imagine Thatcher, Merkel and Hilary C doing that, right?

Likewise Alun,

from the Labour safety of east London, where Stephen Timms, the chap who was stabbed by a muslim nutjob, got the largest majority in the house, to the Tory dominated area of west Norfolk.

If a UKIP candidate is standing in Newham or Tower Hamlets, they have lost their deposit before it starts.

Sorry to hear about your mum, Alun. This getting older lark can sometimes not be much fun - I've just got off the phone with a dear old friend and he's struggling mightily. I hope my demise will be at the barricades with my comrades as we fight to protect the supreme soviet in London, but alas it'll doubtless be by disappearing up my own fundament as everybody said it always would!

I confess, I've paid no attention to what must be the most depressing bunch of mediocre politicians in my lifetime (currently my greatest concern is the rain in Grenada) and so I haven't watched any of the debates. For the record, Thatcher never hugged anyone ... ever, except maybe Pinochet

How the hell did Grenada get a test?  As I recall they finally took Guyana off the rota after years and years of tests being completed without a single ball being bowled.

I thought as a New Frenchman you'd be on the barricades in the banlieues of Paris, fighting democracy with your chums who don't like Charlie Hebdo magazine?

Les rouges, possibly, but I've been to some of the hottest spots on the globe, and nothing would induce me to enter some of the less salubrious parts of Paris!

I think Grenada got a Test because we don't want to be beastly to the Chinese ... or is it the South Koreans these days? I never know.

You disappoint me. Whatever happened to the man who would fight bouncers and take on allcomers to evoke the spirit of Piaf, and give a hearty chorus of "La Vie En Rose" on stage at the Crazy Horse?

Irrelevant - and you know it. Their share of the vote will be down, it won't effect anything, lucky he gets more than 3 seats. Cameron reduced to sticking his hands in blue paint with Boris and waving at the cameras. Miliband gaining power, credence and stature every day.
