Very say the chumps and nut butties and yet they don't seem able to point us to their vile policies or views.

The luvvies spend hours slagging off the party that they insist had no chance.

Why bother?

Reminds me of sibaroni and his digging at the BNP every 5 minutes years ago.

'They are irrelevant'

'They are finished'

'They are racist'

Why keep bringing them up then? Laugh

Guess what?

I look forward to the brutal exposing of Farage and his party's vileness by facts and his fellow travellers tomorrow. I know such people are out there because I heard plenty of panto booing and hissing tonight. I just couldn't put my finger on the vileness to which they refer.

I must admit that I'm also still waiting to learn what is wrong with a country that wants to make its own laws, and control its own borders, two of the most prominent aims of the UKIP.  Loads of countries around the world do it already, and manage to rub along OK.

When exactly did aims such as this become the work of the devil?  For that is surely how UKIP have been painted by the "Progressive" (i.e. Daft) left-leaning sorts in our country.

The Left appear to have forgotten that this is EXACTLY what EVERY British government (including Labour governments) did for several hundred years before the EU effectively became the highest authority in the land. And precisely NO-ONE complained about it.

Amazing scenes. Facts, Commander In Chief of the nut butty brigade, gets into a slanging match rather than address a simple but politically fundamental question. He and his cohorts are running around in a muck sweat denouncing Farage in the most startling terms and yet not one of them can muster a single argument in support of their bizarre assertions. Why deconstruct the policies and comments when you can seek to assassinate the character?

Has this ever happened before? Laugh

It`s the tribal urge once again EO. They need someone to represent the fascism and Farage fits the bill. So they boo him.

Yet interestingly enough leaving the EU is not a fascist policy.
Having a points system is not a fascist policy or else Australia is a fascist country. We all want to live there don`t we?
To say housing is about supply and demand is not a fascist opinion.
To say extra people in the country increase the demand is not a fascist opinion.
Mothers/womens rights in the work place..well that`s sexism at worse.

So yes, i see through it all as well EO, and i have been accused of being a lefty.

Farage ideology maybe one of creeping fascism though EO which is more pertinent than his policies.

Those that oppose him perhaps care more about the link between nationalism and fascism than others.
What are the characteristics of fascism? Many will point at Sharia Law of course but what about creeping fascism in democratic countries? Well Lawrence Britt has pointed out 14 characteristics of fascism. See what you think.

1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism: Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

2. Disdain for the recognition of human rights: because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of “need.” The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerationsof prisoners, etc.

3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause: the people are rallied into a unifying Patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial, ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

4. Supremacy of the Military: Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service is glamourised.

5. Rampant Sexism: the governments of fascist nations tend be almost exclusively male dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution.

6. Controlled Mass Media: sometimes the media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.

7. Obsession with National Security: fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.

8. Religion and Government are Intertwined: governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government’s policies or actions.

9. Corporate Power is Protected: the industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

10. Labour Power is Suppressed: because the organising power of labour is the only real threat to a fascist government, labour unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.

11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts: fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked.

12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment: under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption: fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.

14. Fraudulent Elections: sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

Sounds very much like Russia under the communists Angel rather than Farage's vision for Britain. I'd say whilst he is a patriot he also believes far ore in liberty than authoritarianism which takes him far away from labels which far more closely apply to the far left as well as fascists.

The most pitiful sight at last night's "debates" (I uses the term loosely), captured mercilessly in today's press photographs, was the sight of the three women 'leaders' having a good old group hug at the end, like a bunch of Hen Night wallflowers.

The implication was that they were fighting back together against some horrible male oppressors, and somehow considering themselves in need of some form of (utterly feeble) Affirmative Action on behalf of womanhood.

Can you imagine Margaret Thatcher ever feeling the need to do this at a political debate, or ever imagining for one minute that her gender had ANY relevance in the matter of the political arguments she was making?

Here's one such photo, courtesy of the Muslim newspaper "The Independent".

what exactly is the point of a general knowledge quiz, that wouldn't decide whether you were thick or not, knowledge is not intelligence.

Danny Alexander when interviewed after the debates made comment about some of the "disgusting" things Farage was saying. Of course he wasn't asked what exactly he meant by that by Maitless. It was waved through by her as if, of course that is true. Well I'm issuing the challenge. If Farage is unfit to be voted for what did he say last night which causes people to reach for these words?

People particularly on the left only actually believe in democracy as long as your views fit within very narrowly defined concepts of what is acceptable. It is anathema to them that we should seek to be a nation state happily trading with the world. It is anathema to them that our national health service is for the people of this country. It is anathema to them to them that anybody would point out the lunacy of borrowing hundreds of billions of pounds in a parliament whilst sending money to all four corners of the globe. It is anathema to them to seek to control immigration to a crowded country (England) and especially the south east.

It's illusion of democracy we are labouring under. People who don't buy the status quo which favours certain select groups are ignored until they threaten to turn over the apple cart. Then tbey are assassinated either in character or deed.

So it simply isn't good enough for these wretches like Facts and others to snipe from the sidelines. They are a disgrace.

That list of 14 characteristics was found on a discussion regarding Australian government. Many can select a characteristic of the Australian Government and match it to that list, yet how many here opposed to Farage for suggesting a point system would boycott Australia for it`s point system?
