I really don't know why you people continue to correspond with ebulGery. The man is a clueless buffoon masquerading as an informed commentator, who knows precisely nothing about the nature of Islam, nothing about the reasons for the emergence of ISIS, in fact he knows nothing whatsoever about anything whatsoever.
In short, he is an apologist for extreme barbarism, and he should not be given the time of day. |

Barbarism begins at home. Cracking tune.

Another strange aspect of life in a British prison camp was the fact that prisoners received the same amount of daily rations as British servicemen, which turned out to be more than the civilian population received. So in effect the German POWs were better fed than the civilian population of Britain! You get some clowns on here you really do. You carry on sticking up for ISIS though |

So what angle were you coming at it from? I've asked the question how countries treat POWS from the airforce I dont see the point of your question what is the point about Germans and how they treated British pilots? Where are you going? I asked the question to silly bollox cos he thinks people should be burnt alive when bombing IS.

It's not complicated - honestly.
The West (megalomaniac politicians, big business - not you or me) want to control the oil supply. We (our politicians and their masters) allow dictators to run oil rich companies as long as they behave towards the West (doesn't matter about democracy, Human Rights etc ... e.g Iran with the Shah, Libya with Gaddaffi, Iraq with Saddam, Saudi with the Royal family ... but not Zimbabwe with Mugabe, or North Korea with thingy boy. When the dictators fall out with us (for not doing what we want), we foment an uprising. We use religion as it's easy (e.g Iran, Khomeni) or social injustice (difficult and a slow burn as Mid East is essentially tribal) or perceived threats to us (WMD in Iraq!!). We invade where our politicos and big business thing it's necessary. We kill lots of locals (who happen to be Muslim) and the muslims get upset and want to do something about it. But they can't get at Blair or Bush so they terrorise us as that's the only way they see to avenge their treatment by "the West". And all the rest is secondary (western lifestyle, koran stuff, prophet stuff etc etc). And they're primitive (but so was the West 200 years ago) - and nutty. I just wish they'd take it out on our politicians - not me, because frankly I couldn't give a damn about democracy in Saudi for example (but I hate the hypocrisy by our politicians re Saudi) |

More complete nonsense I'm afraid mememe.
If you truly believe that the return of Khomeini to Iran, or the fall of Pahlavi, was orchestrated by America, I pity you. |

I sometimes think ebulg is a bot.
The exiled archbishop of Mosul said this recently : “Our sufferings today are the prelude of those that you, Europeans and Western Christians, will also suffer in the near future,” “Please, try to understand us,” he said. “Your liberal and democratic principles are worth nothing here. You must consider again our reality in the Middle East, because you are welcoming in your countries an ever growing number of Muslims.” “Also, you are in danger,” said the archbishop. “You must take strong and courageous decisions, even at the cost of contradicting your principles.” “You think all men are equal, but that is not true: Islam does not say that all men are equal,” said Archbishop Nona. “Your values are not their values. If you do not understand this soon enough, you will become the victims of the enemy you have welcomed in your home.” |
|
By:
Well he put it better than moi.
I'm getting quite bored with saying we are just infidels to the Mo's... Nothing will ever change that. They use Western freedom to their own ends. |

And apologists like ebul will end up with their head on a stick.

Hundreds of thousands demonstrate all over the world and riot if we publish cartoons or burn a Koran but we do not read of any muslim demonstration against an outfit that burns a muslim man alive ?

Not a very reasoned or comprehensive response from you - just "More complete nonsense I'm afraid mememe". I lived in Tehran at the time of the fall of the Shah, and had to come back to Britain as a result. I saw what happened at first hand. The Iranians lived in fear of Savak, the secret police ... social justice was non existent. The US controlled Iran, but allowed the Iranian people to rise up and rebel ... and Khomeni was the focal point. They allowed it to happen I and my fellow ex-pat colleagues could see it coming - why didn't the US want to see it coming. All that was needed was social justice. But I'm not going to get into a debate with you. I have better things to do. |
|
By:
And now, the people in Iran live in fear of..........the secret police, not much changed after all that bloodshed ? Freedom, dontcha just love it !
I arrived in Riyadh just after the Shah fell and met dozens of ex-pats from Iran, every one raved about how beautiful the country was. What a shame it has taken so long to ocme out of the cold, most Iranians I have talked to were far more intelligent than the average arab. |
|
By:
I'm sure you have better things to do. But before you get on with them, allow me to tell you that sitting on their hands while their puppet fell and actively promoting the rise of Khomeini are two entirely different things.
You specifically claimed that the demise of Pahlavi was down to him not doing what the Americans wanted at the time, which we both know - or as we should both know if as you claim you lived in Tehran at the time - is a complete and utter falsehood. Events, as so often, overtook a US administration. To suggest that they hung him out to dry in response to a change of allegiance on his part is frankly preposterous. |

SJ. I see that haven't spent any time thinking about your question regarding treatment of enemy aircrew.
Let me try to nudge you in the right direction. First clue would be...Geneva Convention. Second clue would be Tit-for-Tat. One point you might like to mull over would be why aircrew POWs had different camps and were under the control of the Luftwaffe rather than the SS. And, just from another viewpoint and definitely NOT as an ISIS sympathiser or apologist: You've got to admit that, for the price of a couple of bullets, they've grounded they've neutered the Jordanian Air Force! |

Grounded OR Neutered. Take your pick!

Oh dear. I must pay more attention.
I've got the tele on in the background and I thought I heard them say something about not risking more pilots. Ah, well. Not the first time I've been wrong and I'm sure it won't be the last! ![]() |

In short, he is an apologist for extreme barbarism, and he should not be given the time of day. one of my more flattering critics This is nothing about Islam it never was You have all been fooled....... an earlier question put to me by Wesdag Could you please explain what the Yazidis did to upset ISIS to justify them being massacred? Have they also being invading muslim countries and oppressing them? before I answer, answer this me this [i]Could you please explain what Iraq did to upset ourselves to justify them being invaded and massacred by us. not all them, but a fair few |
|
By:
Jordan appear to have recognised the obvious and have decided to go for ISIS before they go for them. About time someone in the area attacked them before they get destabilised. Saudi should be next because they are on the IS list.

.... well said treetop, i am still somewhat mystified by the lack of outcry from the british muslim community, i only just read that the poor pilot was described as being " a devout muslim ". |
|
By:
Perhaps they don't want to go the same way Glasgow?
Since Jordan were bombing IS, I though they were going for them already treetop, I assume they are stepping it up hardly surprising after this atrocity |
|
By:
Since this is inter Muslim stuff, there would be no point in Muslims protesting to us would there
Their protests would have to be IS, this would depend on their allegiance |
