What if IS get their hands on / develop the technology to make a nuclear weapon? How wide will the borders of the Caliphate grow, given they are knocking at the doors of Turkey (a NATO member state) and Russia as well as North Africa now?
AND there is at least one Muslim country which we know to be nuclear armed and has huge problems with extremists. It seems inconceivable that, if they came into possession of any kind of WMD, the psychopaths leading IS would not use them. |

They cant make their minds up. This way we save British Soldiers and civilians and dont get the blame |

By:
They can't make their minds up? What about us? First we arm the iraqis. Then we bomb them. Then we accuse them of having WMD, then we bomb them again, but they dont have WMD, and we kill their leader. Then we leave and now this. It is a fkin joke.

I am speaking on behalf of Isis. My personal opinion is of no relevance here.

We must destroy IS..we need to step it up....they are beyond evil
Then we must try a more understanding approach with Muslims But IS must die, we cannot allow this We have made terrible mistakes in the past, as you say rob, but getting rid of IS will not be one of them |

Atrocities such as this are not uncommon in Syria, sadly

SJ. If you were a member of a platoon of troops and were attacked by enemy aircraft, seeing most of your friends blown to bits or burnt beyond recognition. The same pilots then bales out and you capture him. What would YOU do on their behalf and the behalf of their wives and children?
And that is assuming that he hasn't killed any women or kids with his bombs! Which is a strong possibility. Collateral damage I think it's called. |

Are you muslim naydam? Serious question.

So the apology you were giving if he only flew on humanitarian missions, was that speaking behalf of Isis as well? Unfortunately, you've made such a mess of playing "devil's advocate" that your personal opinion does have relevance because far too much of what you've said so far is coming across as your personal opinion whether intended or not. |

She's too stupid to be a muslim..
|
|
By:
Akabula. I don't see the relevance of your question. Why would you want to know that? I am attempting to bring to the forum's attention certain points that may help them to see this particular method of killing (ie burning) from the viewpoint of the pilot's targets.
|
|
By:
If the pilot had been employed on aid missions only, he would probably have been held to ransom, similar to other aid workers. The outcome would depend upon the results of negotiations.
|
|
By:
I'm sorry naydam but that is spectacularly naive I'm afraid.
The pilot was a dead man walking from the moment he was captured. If he had told them he was only on aid missions they'd have beaten a confession out of him to say he was a combat pilot. It was too much of a propaganda coup to them not to kill him. Regardless of what they were trying to achieve in their method of murdering him maybe you don't quite grasp what a no no it is to use burning as a method of death in that religion. I have a fair idea what was behind the imagery they were trying to project but in this case it's spectacularly backfired. Eventually any terrorist group like this will make a major strategic mistake and this may well be theirs. |
|
By:
We know the reason naydam. They are deranged religious fanatical savages belonging to a time long since past.
It is relevant if you are a muslim and I'm beginning to think you are one, in fact I'm almost convinced you are. Why? Because only someone of their ilk would try to justify this. BTW stop hiding behind this devils advocate chyt. |

Hiding in plain sight, the apologist.

Marce. I wonder if the type of aircraft might have had something to do with it. Or his uniform. Or even the whether he was shot down in pursuit of his evil work.
He was valued very highly, probably because of his family connections and military status. But he wasn't earmarked for death...he was offered as a trade for a couple of prisoners. That would not have worked if he had been dead. |
|
By:
I understand your argument naydam but the mistake you make in presenting it is to imply that this is t1t for tat as if there is some moral imperative driving their actions when in fact we see that they treat the innocent, weak and defenceless in a barbaric manner.

How civilised! Just like Alan Henning then. ![]() |

By:
The Jordanians explicitly stated they were willing to trade the two captives being held Naydam and wanted proof of life re the pilot in order to make it happen.

The pilot was already dead.

Akabula. Rule number one in warfare is 'never underestimate your enemy'. ISIS are a very savvy bunch who have gathered huge power in a very short time. Their deranged religious fanatical savagery serves them well in backward regions and ensures much propaganda in more advanced societies. Their possession of arms and assets is quite large but they lack air power. But you never know in that area, someone might come onside, they change sides like they change flip-flops.
|
|
By:
|
|
By:
Their real military power is tiny and they only survive because politicans in the west havent bothered to use the force needed to wipe them out. If that changes they are gone in a week.
|
|
By:
Akabula. Just to save you wondering or drawing the wrong conclusion...No, I am not a Moslem.
I'm out of here. This thread has been an epic FAIL for me! ![]() But I did predict that hours ago. ![]() |

Defending ISIS will do that I'm afraid.
Feel free to cast your net elsewhere. |

naydam, it's all very well playing the Devils advocate, but not for the Devil incarnate, IE, ISIS, from you numerous posts it seems to me that you just enjoy being contrary, and annoying to right minded people in the world you continue to live. No one is stopping you from leaving. I hear Iraq is lovely this time of year.

I make an exception for IS..the only one

ebulGery, us understanding Their religion is a noble, fair, intelligent aspiration, the only problem is their "Book" tells them that they are the guardians of the LAST WORD OF GOD, have you got that, the last word of god. You will not reason with them, you will get no concession from them, and the last thing they will ever do is to try and understand you, your God, your culture, your traditions and way of life. Come out from under your smug religious/christian carapace. and get with the programme. How many atrocities and lack of condemnation from for example, British Musrats do you need to see in order to wake up. I fckin despair.
|
|
By:
Their religion has got nothing whatever to do with us
Countries have a right to choose their own religion It give us no right whatsoever to start invading their countries and start killing Muslims whenever we feel like it Plus that was a never the reason anyway. The real reason is far darker, but you either see this or you don't The West, particularly the US has done great evil in the Middle East, this country sadly just follows them. Evil just leads to more evil, IS are a very good example of that |
|
By:
I do realise that people have been completely brainwashed in this country for the last 25 years by both our governments
and Media to hate Muslims. So my words usually fall on deaf ears on this. Still I believe in getting my £2 pounds worth, even if most wish I did not ![]() |
|
By:
ebulGery, you are way behind on this, our (capitalist imperialist interventions) meddling has awakened an evil that has been simmering for 2 thousand years. It's no longer a question of right or wrong, but..............oh fck whats the use.
|

By:
Perhaps I am way behind

You see the problem is Islam poses no threat to us?
Apart from terrorism of which we see little Of course we have a Muslim population of our own, but whose fault is that, our own, we let them in If Muslims hate us it would not surprise me , looking at we have done in the Middle East, what else do we expect? |

![]() Before we start another religious war The IRA have killed more of us than Muslim terrorists have ever done I think they are pretty evil But I do not condemn all Irish people or Roman Catholicism as an awakening evil So neither am I ever going to regard Islam as an awakening evil I only condemn those that do evil in its name, and IS do some extreme evil If you expect Muslims to condemn their own you know little of human nature Also unlike the non Muslim rest of us, they see the great evil the West has done in the Middle East although I do as well.... but I look for justice |
|
By:
Also if you know anything of the N.Ireland situation
At the height of the troubles...it was dangerous for any Catholic in N.Ireland to speak out against the IRA Although as far I know Muslim Terrorists do not have a base in our Muslim community, neither would it necessarily be safe for them to condemn fellow Muslims, particularly terrorists |
