Four Labour members suspended in Rotherham today. About bloody time.

Milliband keeping his head down.

Didn't fancy suspending them until they had no choice eh.

South Yorkshire plod struggling for child protection resources to be fair - all busy going through the memorabilia they seized at Cliff's gaffe the other week...

When: 02 Sep 14 22:56
yeah - sickening to see their priorities.  And the council who were busy stripping children from foster homes just because the foster parents supported UKIP.

It is repellent.

Aye, Milliband conspicuous by his absence.

I'm pretty confident that nobody will lose their massive pension though, despite their disgraceful behaviour.  This country is rancid.

I was wrong about Wright - still clinging on by his fingernails, no doubt we'll be treated to a stuttering performance before the parliamentary select committee next week (featuring West End stage worthy grandstanding by Keith Vaz) followed by Paul Flowers type revelations in the Sunday People.

I know how these incompetent egomaniacs roll now...

I thought Vaz was on top form today with Crompton.

I would assume (and hope i'm Wright) that he will tear into Wright next week..

Not sure how it works, but does him resigning save his pension, rather than if he was forced out through failure in duty of care?

It means he has done the honourable thing and admitted that he is not 'fit for purpose'. I would expect many more will follow suit. All desk-sergeants who didn't not act upon these accusations of criminal activity, along with every other police officer and social worker who did not acknowledge that 12yr old girls CANNOT ever consent to sex. Sex with a minor is illegal...group rapes, prostitution and trafficking make it ten times worse and should be treated accordingly!

that ex chief copper is getting a good going over. Is it gross incompetence or a pack of lies?
By:

Lies to cover up the incompetence i would have thought.

So both.

they (the BBC) gave the impression it would be live on their website's 'Democracy Live' section, but I can't find it.
There is a recording of last weeks grilling though so I assume a full recording will pop up at some stage.

I think it started getting juicy when I posted the link, but there'll be a recording of the whole thing soon. The old Labour MP's words were the harshest I thought.

Chief Con said he didn't know it was going on.

FFS.

Arrest the lot of these idiots, disband the Yorkshire Old Bill and the Council.

F*** Scotland, the political leaders should be in Rotherham dealing with this utter, utter disgrace.

By:

When: 10 Sep 14 06:07
It goes far beyond Rotherham. Rotherham ordered an independent enquiry -- the Jay report -- which is where the 1,400 figure comes from. We don't have comparable reports for all the other towns where grooming gangs were jailed, or are on trial now, or have not been caught. Whether some official or other resigns for what happened in the past is not going to help the 12 and 13-year-old girls being raped tonight.
