Anyone got any Gigs lined Up ?

Yes I'm doing a gig at the Talbot Conservative Club on Sunday.

Its a seismic shift away from my normal stuff as I'm going back to my roots.
One of the numbers I will be performing with my band 'Tears of Charlie Manson”, I wrote when I was just 13 in a religious education lesson at school. The song 'House of Hades', is full of teenage angst and self loathing. We will be doing an acoustic version.

Its all a case of who come first,
The wise men say we'll inherit the Earth.
But what the didn't tell us is the Earth is cursed.
Condemned as a House of Hades.

The evangelist calls for your sins to atone,
Through all the ifs, buts and maybe's.
Tells of the fate hellfire & brimstone,
Exclusively yours from Hades.
Don't think dirty thoughts,
Don't look in their eyes,
Don't ask no questions and don't tell no lies.
You know in the end there's no way you can win,
Use the wrong toothpaste & rigor mortise sets in,
Take a ride with the stiffs,
You know were your goin',
Your destined your headin' for Hades.

House of Hades its futile a lark,
But I don't want to leave cos I'm scared of the dark.
Now liberty's dead she got lynched in the park,
We're destined we're headin' for Hades.

Some call him Taipo, some Lucifer,
Some Beelzebub  some just don't care.
The message is clear, he lurks in our fate,
Stick him in the fat man and label it hate.
Drop it on us now before its too late,
Spare us this House of Hades!

Don't know what was going on in my head at the time?
But it will be interesting to see what the Tory coffin dodgers make of it

I saw Arctic Monkeys on Monday at the Echo Arena - apparently they have cancelled Thursday's and Friday's gigs because of illness

Taking my daughter to see Bruno mars

Going to see The Bunnymen, Ocean Colour Scene and Cast at Liverpool o2 academy all before xmas - also saw the Cult there this week

Am too old and lazy now can barely sleep past 9.30. No other reason for missing La Gedge on the Hit Parade Tour tonight. If I don't go to see him, the rest pale into insignificance

RLKP - Shed Seven are playing Leeds on December 21. Fancy it, or not your thing? I've seen them in London on their last two tours (2009 and 2011). They're really good.

Low in Cambridge on the 18th.
Where's the Damned and the Ruts Gin? And who now sings for the Ruts?


The gig i'm going to is in Bristol but there is a full tour.

John Jennings (Bass) does most of the vocals along with a female vocalist (whose name I don't know). I have seen them a couple of time in the last year and they are great live. HOWEVER, although they play a couple of old Ruts punk numbers (Babylons Burning being the main one of course), the majority of their set is made up of reggae/Dub numbers. Which is great if you like that sort of stuff (I do) but not if you're expecting a full on old style punk set.

think Shed Seven are sold out mate in Leeds, Mark Lanegan tonight ex Queens Of The Stone Age , the best voice in rock, seen him 4 times, Bubblegum ,  one of my fav all time albums.
