I'm not sure SH did it. Getting p!ssed up and being filmed in off licence and telling everyone his name is not the actions of someone with something to hide.

I note that the police said today of the second search on August 5th; “All parts of the premises were searched including the location where a body was discovered five days later on Friday August 10." The police are therefore saying Tia's body must have been moved hence the other arrests. Wait to see who is actually charged and with what.

There's still a lot of odd stuff here. I know he looks a bit simple, but hiding a body in a loft and then telling the police she had left the house were both clearly gonna get found out, even by PC Blunkett. She was tiny, surely he'd have tried to get her out the house, the one place that would clearly incriminate him.

i can acknowledge that the parents' worry and uncertainty was protracted due a bit of incompetence but it's been replaced with a staggeringly painful certainty. |

In any case, it doesn't look as though they were simply too scared to go into the place and turn it upside down. It seems they missed the body because they couldn't be bothered to bring a ladder along and check the loft, which is a very different thing. And the idea about it not mattering since the child was already dead is rather missing the point. Every now and again in a case like this, the child would actually have been still alive. Generally they're dead from the beginning, but you just don't know, which is one reason why the police need to find the child as quickly as possible, just on the off-chance that they can save her or him. |

The Police do not need a warrant in a case like this at all
If they are denied entry they can smash the door off the hinges and look where they like . After having done so they then need to show: 1. They had reasonable grounds for suspecting it was necessary to stop a crime being committed and/or apprehrend the suspects & 2. That the suspected crime was serious enough to justify searching without a warrant, and therefore proportionate to this rarely used power. Had they decided to get a warrant, having been denied entry, then it would have been a formality. |
