Presumably killed in his flat as if it were hers he could just have left her there. One scenario, she gets home carrying lots of stuff. Puts pizza down to free hands to open door. Gets in but slightly tipsy so forgets pizza. Takes shoes off. Opens cider, quick drink before pizza. Hey where's my pizza? Oh...must have left it outside. Goes outside, door closes behind her. Goes to neighbours cos it's cold and she needs to phone someone. He's all "Hey baby, why the hurry..."

Can anyone make sense of the following....
''police got their breakthrough 3 weeks ago with CCTV footage of the car used to dump the body going over the suspension bridge, though initially the driver was ruled out as a suspect''  Read this in a couple of places. How did they know that car , of hundreds going over the bridge, was used to move the body If they knew it was , how on earth was the driver initially eliminated |

It looks like the chit-chat judicial system works a bit differently to the normal one. Isn't there something like one of those court-case thingies supposed to happen? A Trial! Yeah, that's what it's called...a Trial. With a jury and stuff. And evidence and a verdict, like. You've all seen 'em. In fact I think some of you might have seen a few too many!
There are some rather fanciful scenarios created on here as to who thought what and how the drama played out. No doubt these storylines will require a little modification in order to compensate for the latest 'fact'. I think I can see now why we scrapped the Death Penalty.  |

I'm still not convinced by the "stalker" theory.
He just doesn't fit the profile, yes he had broken up with his missus, but usually he would take any anger out on her, not a neighbour! Plus if he did do it from a spurned advance than it would be a typical "crime of passion" where he would leave the body where it was and panic, not think to himself "Ooops, just killed someone, do I have a big suitcase? I know, lets call a taxi" It all shows a decent level of premeditation, not a crime of passion. |

Think sparkmaster has it right in that Jo locks herself out with pizza so flat never entered after that and they can look in Jo's flat as much as they like but won't find anything.
Plod always say she got back there but don't know where murdered.... more likely (if Tabak's the culprit) in his place which is why body had to be moved. Re taxi I doubt he called one up to his address. could have dragged suitcase to a cab rank. |

She's in a good mood, we see her laughing and smiling on bargain booze CCTV. She texts an old friend to go for a drink.
Meanwhile, (Allegedly) Tabak is alone, he knows Jo's BF is away for the weekend, he's seen Jo around and fancies her. She always smiles and is friendly when their paths cross. He reads too much into that. He hears her arrive back, his heart beat quickens, he's nervous and exited, now's his chance! She opens the cider and takes a drink. There's a knock at the door. It's Tabak..! |

From the BBC website:
"It is thought that a bail hearing will take place at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday." Under what circumstances would a suspected murderer be released on bail? Especially a foreign national who could possibly attempt to skip the country. Presumably if they have sufficient evidence to charge him then they must think he's guilty and could therefore be a potential danger to society. So what would be the point of a bail hearing? |

no requirement to make a plea yet, that comes at a later date. bail hearing tomorrow - they don't know if he is applying for bail. preliminary hearing scheduled for 31st Jan. |

I realise that but if it's simply a formality then why didn't it take place at the hearing today?
It just seems a complete waste of taxpayers' money. |

Lots of stuff to do with law enforcement and the judicial process are simply a gravy train, imo.

The waiting around, hours "worked", time wasting I saw just when doing jury service was astounding.

Many of these delays are caused by the accused pleading 'Not Guilty'. Of course, sometimes that's the correct plea 'cos they didn't do it!!

I think the police have handled this whole case very badly. From very early on it looked like the killer knew Jo and it was a crime motivated by an attraction to the victim. The man now charged should have been one of the first people under suspicion if only to be ruled out. It never looked like a premediatated crime but you would thought that a young man living next door would need to be ruled out first.
