As said before, I'm sure all chit-chatters would like to offer their deepest sympathies
to Jo Yeates family and friends.

Let's solve this case...

I think the missing sock clearly points to a chit chatter somewhere. Has anyone seen Ken Masters or has he fled the country?

So we are now looking for two people seen on cctv stalking Joanna (or more likely just walking down the road), only one of whom is a sock fetishist. Is that right?

It does sound like plod put all its eggs in the landlord basket, and now forensic has cleared him (or rather, failed to convict him) they are having to start again from scratch.

Why have they only just highlighted the missing sock? Surely it would have been beneficial to highlight it soon after the body was found?

Only reason I can think of is that they had their suspect and hoped that they'd find the sock or fibres from it in their car or premises.

might she have returned home with wet feet ,
removed shoes and one  sock, heard scream
outside, went to investigate, saw something, and
was killed, killers went to close door, saw pizza
took it, dumped body ...

so the killer took the pizza and sock because he fancied a calzone?

Sock must be murder weapon. Noone would pull off a sock to strangle someone so likely she was in process of taking them off when it kicked off.

Sock just fell off when she was moved imo. No shoes more interesting on freezing night.

Dont understand why move body from flat and hastily dump few miles away if it was a stranger(s)

i'd really like to know why we don't have the old thread anymore, the old one seemed entirely above board in terms of the content right up to midnight last night.  maybe they just thought we'd like a new one.......

I think they have given the old thread to the police. There are several clued-up people who missed successful careers as private detectives and some good theories were presented. Any post leading to a successful conviction will lead to the £10k reward being split between the poster and betfair.

Like it Poolio, like it. There was indeed much sterling work done by the analysts here , no stone left unturned etc. But for the lack of certain bits of info not released by police the BF Murder Squad would be close to an arrest by now....

think popping up to eat pizza at landlord's is fav as that fits everything. but what happened to make him kill her is a mystery. i'm thinking not sexual, he's obv gay, but had some ridiculous disagreement about something. ok, that's very far fetched, you don't kill someone for that (though having seen some pretty heated excahnges on here i'm not so sure!). then he calls neighbour to help him carry the body out and dump it.

i,m now backtracking to clear a few points,as far as i no the neighbour didnt mention jump starting the boyfriends car till after sky tv approached the landlord,was this news to us and not the police,surely;
1st the boyfriend would have mentioned this to police on either the sunday or monday
2nd ,early on when the boyfriend was everyones fav surely the landlord would have mentioned it
3rd surely the neighbour would have mentioned this on monday or tues, although i no he was away for xmas at some point

fair point if the route to the landlord's flat involved going outside. no idea what the layout is inside - if there's a communal hallway or what, so utter guesswork lol (as is everything on here!)
By:

Pretty sure would have to go outside ,if not TOTALLY different scenario,
