the UN went to level five officially and level six unofficially that is serious. only a numpty wouldnt care here is a definition of pandemic for you : # Widespread; general. # Medicine. Epidemic over a wide geographic area and affecting a large proportion of the population in a nutshell, it just means a disease has spread across countries, nothing more. This early version of swine flu (which may NEVER muate in to something a lot more virulent) is harmless. If you are lucky enough to get it it means that you will be far more likley to survive a more virulent mutation of the flu. Everyone is being whipped up in to a frenzy over nothing. Don't go panicking about something that hasn't even happened yet, and may never happen. |

Is mild worry ok?

Will be a pandemic very soon and all schools will shut. Luckily it's almost summer holidays. The number of cases are growing each day now rapidle, let's not forget Mexico was 1 1/2 month ahead with this.
2 people in the UK are in intensive care with it and both were healthy with no medical conditions beforehand. Worrying times ahead. |
By:
cases have tripled in less than a month :(

Was only a matter of time unfortunately. It's a shame the likes of STUDYFORM didn't take this or me seriously in the first place, would of saved him looking silly.
Can't please everyone I guess. As a country we have slacked off and taken the view, it's a load of rubbish just like bird-flu blah blah blah. You see Rangers fans who shared a bus all got it, I doubt they washed there hands and used a tissue ect. |
By:
YES!
And in Mexico it's all got pretty bad now! |
By:
Yes, Yes it has indeed.
By:
Your grammar has slacked off big time Cath...
By:
"Rangers fans not washing their hands"
right up there with "man lands on moon", etc ;-) |
By:
Mexico not the big concern now, It's America and Canada.
By:
So, if American and Canada follow the pattern of Mexico, with initial numbers of deaths reduced, how many will die in these countries?
By:
Over 400 known cases in the U.K which probably means around 8,000 actual cases.
Up until this week, no one had become critically ill, but now there are 3 critically ill cases in Paisley and one in nearby Glasgow. Obviously a highly virulent local mutation, but the press haven't picked up on this. |
By:
Or doctors.
By:
sparkmaster.
It's Autumn/Winter thats the concern. |
By:
Do you have a leaflet? I need a leaflet.
By:
phew.
By:
I have a leaf, and it's quite small, is that any good?
By:
Half a leaflet is better than none and yours is more than half.
By:
aw yeah
By:
"Obviously a highly virulent local mutation"
Harsh on the weegies, but fair, imo. |
By:
Cath.
This is your only thread of interest. Where do you go to the rest of the time? Are you in the local high street handing out leaflets telling people how to use a (nose/mouth area) tissue? |

One of the junior gardeners has the sniffles.
He will be executed this afternoon, once he has said goodbye to his wife and young child. Safety first. |

Are you still sweating Studyform?
View the numbers, on the rise daily..and you said?............. |
By:
Yes! The death toll is on the up! In your FACE, studyform!
By:
Only a matter of time unfortunately. This time next year, if he is still here he will be offering an apology I'm sure.
I'll accept as I am a nice person. |
By:
'View the numbers, on the rise daily..and you said?.............'
Well the total number of people having caught swine flu is hardly going to decrease is it? |
By:
Exactly so I am right, just like I was at the start of this thread and just as I will be this time next year.
By:
Read some of the earlier pages to see what I said, cath.
I think you'll find it was more sensible, and better reasoned than the hysterical nonsense you had to offer. |
By:
Pandemic. Mexico closed. People dying in their millions. My friend's a selfish cow, and I won't talk to her again. My kids are in danger.
etc etc etc ad nauseum,. But never any other contribution to the forum. I have notheing to apologise for, and you only disappear until you see a snippet of news on this subject, then in the hope it's something dreadful, start this up again. I'm sure you ARE a nice person, you're still nuts. |
By:
kin**ers
By:
lol I'd knew you would be lurking Studyform. Don't you ever sleep?
;-) |
By:
lol Cath if your forecast had been that more people would catch swine flu then that would be true but staggeringly pointless. I rather thought you were suggesting more?
By:
Can you explain in more detail please?
