I liked the niche subjects. One of my very few away wins was at Hollyoaks Fortress BJK. I will be telling my grandchildren about that one...

you're asking people to compile questions based on those subjects, yet you don't know what the format will be? surely it will be choose from those subjects?

Considering the premiership players cannot do questions for their league are the powers that be going to be happy with the standard of questions set by the majority of the lower league players for the premiership ?
By:

Not a big problem pumps, as we can amend Qs to make them harder/easier as the case may be.

The standard of the home Qs will be similar for each league, ie. difficult. Players should bear this in mind when compiling their Qs.

By:

When: 20 Nov 09 10:25
you know check boxes ..I ask myself that many times .... :-)
and the answer is that we all (despite moans) get enjoyment and fun out of it, in our "rest " hours...
the banter is fun too..(even drags ) :^0

To reitreate what I said earlier:

For now, players should concentrate on the first batch of Qs, those for each of the 16 categories. We will give more information about what is needed for the second batch after the first batch is completed.

As for sending Qs:

Qs can be sent in anytime from now until Dec 14, but in one batch of the whole 48, please, rather bits and pieces.

------------------------------------------------

There's no 'big secret'. We're working on the new format for home Qs. It takes time and we want to get it right.

There's no 'us and them' either. We're all working together to make the league work. That's the idea behind everyone contributing Qs. It's a league by everyone, for everyone.

I'm perfectly happy to contribute more than 99 q's.
I think knowing which subjects (ie the specialist subjects which have been most chosen) are most needed would be helpful.
Also, what format would you like the Q's in?
like this? -
General Knowledge:
Q - What is the name of the world's highest mountain? A - Mount Everest?
Or is there a more helpful layout?

Ive just briefly thumbed through the last 40 or so posts and i can see where dragon is coming from, however i can also so the admin teams point also

Not knowing what the final set up is, makesthe process confusing at this point.

I mean 16 subejcts very much on the lines of Trivial Pursuit Categories (which the admin team did say they wouldnt go down the route of because they wanted the leagues to remain unique) is to open to have as a home subejct.

If each of those 16 categories had 3 sub categories to choose from

EG SPORT

Ball Sports
American Sports
Olympics

Then at least this gives the home player one of 3 options to choose from on a home category but nothing too streamlined.

Making questions on previous categoires about a particular TV show or band was too specific as alot wouldnt muster a guess on a particular subject which is surely not what this is all about (picking the most obscure section so others cant play)

Hope the committee take on board my suggestion :)

i hope something is included that give the younger players, who don't know much old stuff a chance..
ie.. 90s/00s music or something, otherwise if u choose music the majority will just be 70's crap
