Best left to the dark ages. That people still follow this nonsense in this day and age beggars belief.
Definitely for the weak and feeble minded. |

What benefits does Atheism bring exactly? I don't believe in religion but there's more to it for me.
|
|
By:
Than just living and dying that is. It's up to you to find it, not for someone else to tell you.
|
|
By:
It's definitely not the rubbish that passes as a bible.
A loving god we are told. Yet we have so much misery in the world. It's up to you to find it, not for someone else to tell you. So now it's a puzzle we have to solve. ![]() |
|
By:
Atheism removes all hope. What a miserable existence. Just makes you depressed.
|
|
By:
You're the one who sounds depressed.
![]() Why not just enjoy life and everything that it brings. Whatever is going to happen in death will happen. |
|
By:
What's the point of being here then? No point whatsoever.
|
|
By:
Atheism brings you liberation from all the superstitious nonsense and baggage of religion. The mind control, the rituals, the demands for money and the pointless, petty restrictions on your way of life imposed by the traditions of the particular religion you happen to be ensnared by.
|
|
By:
A wee walk in the sun will cheer you up.
Try not to think too hard or you'll only worry yerself into an early grave. |
|
By:
Religion preaches fear. Nothing more nothing less.
|
|
By:
What's the point of being here then? No point whatsoever.
Believing in an invisible friend and an afterlife won't change reality, wishful thinking doesn't make something true. We are all in the same boat whatever you might believe. |
|
By:
Ok, Atheism solves your head problem. The trouble is, it doesn't solve the heart/emotional problem.
I'm not religious like I said, I'm with you on just living the life the way you want it. I'd just rather not have the eternal darkness after death. |
|
By:
if u want darkness visit politics forum
|
|
By:
You are not aware of "eternal darkness" after death, it's not like sitting in a dark room with nothing to do. Your mind ceases to exist at the time of death so you will not know you are dead. Cheer up and live what's left of your life in the sun.

You sound depressed aasbff. Worrying about what is to come won't change anything.
Nobody knows least of all those that dress up in fancy clothes and tell us otherwise. |

I''m only 25
![]() How do you explain all the near death experiences people have though? How do you explain the sightings of ghosts? I'm very interested in it all tbh, always have been. A lot of people I know don't like talking about it. |

I do feel down a bit atm because I don't have a proper job, a girlfriend, still live at home (although my brother does as well) and have something wrong with my peeing!

I'm outta here.

By:
aasbff, go and see your doctor and don't feel embarrassed to tell him everything.
I am 70 and live one day at a time. Most men my age have trouble peeing. ![]() |

By:
![]() Yes, lets not go off topic or have me moaning about myself. |

Take care and get yourself checked over as I said. Good luck.

I've had a Cystoscopy and a prostate exam, they found nothing wrong with me!

Just nervousness then. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

I had a work colleague who confided in a few of us that he found it hard to get to sleep at night for worrying what happens after death.
He was in his early 40s. ![]() |
|
By:
Sorry to hear that akabula. That's why it's best to think positive, believe in the afterlife!
![]() |
|
By:
Believe in this life, that's all that matters.
Loads of things to do whether you have money or not. |
|
By:
Money helps though, gives you more freedom yet doesn't always make you happier.

23 Jun 15 14:50 I''m only 25 Laugh How do you explain all the near death experiences people have though? Near death is not dead. Lack of oxygen can cause hallicunations. How do you explain the sightings of ghosts? I have never believed in ghosts, and therefore, I have never seen one. I'm very interested in it all tbh, always have been. A lot of people I know don't like talking about it. When you die, that's it. Game over. But you won't know. Enjoy what you have now. Only worry if you wake up naked with a shovel in your hand and it's facking hot. You'll be stoking the fires of hell for eternity, for your sins. And if they exist, I'll see you there. ![]() Better than sitting on s cloud listening to a left wing angel playing a facking harp all day. |

Biocetrism offers an alternative take on matters.
After the death of his old friend, Albert Einstein said “Now Besso has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us … know that the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.” New evidence continues to suggest that Einstein was right – death is an illusion. Psst Taxi
Left-wing Angels are the most interesting songwriters! It`s that when they become successful and rich they turn Right-Wing and lose their mojo! |

Biocetrism. If you're clever enough you can make anything sound plausible.

Robert Lanza is quite clever akabuka
Lanza was part of the team that cloned the world's first early stage human embryos,[as well as the first to successfully generate stem cells from adults using somatic-cell nuclear transfer (therapeutic cloning). Lanza has received numerous awards and other recognition, including TIME Magazine’s 2014 Time 100 list of the "100 Most Influential People in the World",[40] the 2013 “Il Leone di San Marco Award in Medicine” (Italian Heritage and Culture Committee, along with Regis Philbin, who received the award in Entertainment),[41] a 2010 National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director’s Award for “Translating Basic Science Discoveries into New and Better Treatments”;[42] a 2010 “Movers and Shakers” Who Will Shape Biotech Over the Next 20 Years (BioWorld, along with Craig Venter and President Barack Obama);[43] a 2005 Wired magazine "Rave Award" for medicine “For eye-opening work on embryonic stem cells”,[44] and a 2006 Mass High Tech journal “All Star” award for biotechnology for “pushing stem cells’ future”.[45][46] |

By:
He should stick to biology Angel, I don't think he's being completely honest with his interpretation of physics (or with Einstein).
|
|
By:
Are you not even going to consider it Foinavon?
After all the double-slit experiment suggests something beyond our comprehension of reality. |
|
By:
The double slit experiment is one of the fundamentals of modern physics. Lanza is saying that the result is different if you observe the particle than if you don't. That is not true. On the quantum scale a photon or an electron can exhibit both wave and particle behaviour. I'm not going to try and explain it here but if you want a detailed explanation try "The Quantum Universe: Everything That Can Happen Does Happen" by Brian Cox and Jeff Forshaw. Chapter 2 being in Two Places at Once.
