on various threads on this forum ever actually been to Liverpool*?

* Arriving on a coach and walking 600yds to one of the football stadia, then walking back to the coach and getting all brave about 10yds from that coach, doesn't count.

Least friendly the Welsh?

Total horsehit imo.

Some of the friendliest and kindest people are the Welsh.

i have 2 scouse mates..
they have an attitude of "us vs the world"
I had one come down to stay for a week, first thing he done when we pulled into my garden, bibbed my horn a load..
he also scratched a nazi symbol into a(broken) bowling ball, drove onto the pavement when i let him drive my car, he was awful

Sounds like your mate is just a n0b, Andy. However, had he done all of the above whilst cracking hilarious one-liners non-stop, then he's a scouser.

That explains you're love of the place

P1sses me off when people like Cilla, Parky, Tarby,Paul O'Grady etc krap on about how great there towns/cities are, yet they all live in Surrey/Kent/Berks etc

In fact the original post pretty much sums up scousers. Sits there seething at some imaginery or long forgotten slight. Works up enough ire to start a new thread, then basically says how much harder everyone from the Greater Merseyside area is than anyone else in the UK.

I can see him now, baying away from behind an escort of 'bizzys', his Kappa trackie as pristine as the day he appropriated it from one of Mike Ashleys stores, "Come ed den, we'll av yers" etc etc zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

...........to visit my hubcaps.
By:

mmm
I didn't have much choice in the decision to leave Liverpool as I was only 3yo.
Btw I never said I loved the place.Liverpool has many problems but is also a decent place worth visiting.
The reason I asked my original question was to establish if the biggest critics of the city have ever been there.
Both you and redrich have given your all-too-predictable diatribe against the city and its inhabitants without confirming if you have been there or not.

I wasnt criticising the city, only the ex inhabitants.
Although last time i went there it was full of shaven haired, knuckle draggers, with pit bulls and a chip on each shoulder.
When i opened my mouth in a pub, i got dirty looks for being a southerner, and felt intimidated so left sharpish.

yes its a sh1tty city, picked as the capital of culture so the dead beat city can actually get some work done to it.. the most overrated night out in england (in regards to big cities)

i used to think newcastle was the most overrated city in england.. but liverpool beats it hands down.. all it ever had going for it was cream and that was only any good because lots of out of towners went there.

I cant understand how all 'scousers' knew one of the ill-fated ''93'', yet none of them knew any of the 1000's who tried to get in without tickets.
